HTML Data Visualization
Weekly practice exercise posted every Monday.
HTML-based techniques dramatically extend the capabilities of Power BI data visualizations, allowing you to add rich-text formatting, custom fonts, animation, complex table and matrix structures, SVG-based infographics, and other non-standard visual elements to your reports.
Through participation in these workouts, you will learn the HTML and CSS code necessary to make effective use of HTML-based custom visuals, as well as the best modern tools that will automate writing of much of the necessary HTML/CSS code for you.
Pascal Kiefer is the founder and CEO of BI Samuari, a top-tier worldwide BI consulting firm. He is also an Enterprise DNA Expert and the developer of a number of Power BI custom visuals, including VizCreator Cert and VizCreator Flex, two HTML-based custom visuals in AppSource that we will be using in this workout. Finally, he was a top five finisher (and the highest individual finisher) in Microsoft’s Power BI 2022 Championship in Switzerland.
HTML Viz workouts will be posted weekly before midnight UTC every Monday. Pascal will post his solutions for each workout every Sunday.
