A hosted service that resells access to more than 200 models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Qwen and others through one key, with OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini style endpoints. Its code is public under the AGPL licence.

Best for: Individuals who want cheap prepaid access to many models for personal coding or chat, and accept that requests may be served by third-party providers abroad.

Choose something else if: you work for a business or send personal or confidential data. UnoRouter offers no business accounts, and its privacy policy says many requests are served by providers in China, Hong Kong and other countries without an EU adequacy decision.

Using UnoRouter in practice

Where it runs

Hosted. Requests pass through UnoRouter to third-party provider groups, many of them outside the EU, including in China and Hong Kong. Its web chat keeps conversations in your browser.

How to install

Sign up, create a key on the Tokens page, then point an OpenAI-compatible client at https://api.unorouter.com/v1. Claude Code takes the bare domain, https://api.unorouter.com, as ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL.

Install commands

export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL="https://api.unorouter.com"
export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"

As published in the linked sources. Not run by us.

What it costs

Prepaid pay-as-you-go credit from US$1, which never expires, or subscriptions of US$20, US$50 or US$100 a month that deliver twice that amount in API credit, a quarter each week.

Prices and plans change. Check the linked sources before committing.

Why consider it

  • One prepaid balance for many model families, with endpoints that work with Claude Code, Codex and OpenAI-compatible apps.
  • Each model page lists the provider groups that serve it, and you can pin a key to the groups you accept.

What to watch for

  • With automatic routing, each request goes to the cheapest available provider group, often one of the overseas providers its privacy policy describes.
  • It is an aggregator, not the model maker, and its terms give no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted.
  • Subscription credit arrives weekly, and credit you do not use that week does not carry over.

A first task to try

Open the page for the model you want, note its provider groups and their countries, and pin your key to the groups you accept before sending any real work.

Suggested exercise, not an installation test. We reviewed the linked documentation; no host compatibility is implied.
