About AI Writing Detector
A detect-only skill from the Avoid AI Writing project. It reviews text against the project's AI-writing rulebook, flags patterns and, where the host can run Node, runs a bundled local detector for a repeatable score. It never rewrites unless asked, and it carries the rulebook's cautions about false positives and authorship claims.
Best for
Editors and writers who want to see AI writing patterns before deciding what to change
Use cases
- Check a draft for AI writing tells before it goes out
- Score a batch of copy with a repeatable local detector
- Audit text without changing it, as one step in an editing workflow
Notes
Why it matters
Most tools that spot AI writing also rewrite it. Keeping detection separate lets a person see the problems first and decide what to fix.
