About Article Writing

A long-form writing skill from the ECC collection. It drafts blog posts, guides, tutorials, launch posts and newsletter issues, or tightens existing drafts. Its rules: lead with the concrete thing, explain after the example, keep sentences tight, use proof instead of adjectives, and never invent facts. It also carries a list of banned filler phrases.

Best for

Founders, marketers and writers who want long-form drafts that do not read as generic

Use cases

  • Turn notes or a transcript into a publishable article
  • Write a newsletter issue in a founder's existing voice
  • Tighten the structure and evidence in a long draft

Notes

Why it matters

Most model-written articles fail on the same habits: abstract openings, adjectives instead of evidence, and filler bridges. This skill bans those habits outright, which is a fast way to raise the floor on drafts.

Source

  • Skill file: .agents/skills/article-writing/SKILL.md in affaan-m/ECC.
  • Repository: 287,940 GitHub stars, MIT licence. Checked 24 Oct 2026 through the GitHub API.
  • Last change to the skill: 18 Sept 2026.
  • This page was written from the skill's own SKILL.md. It is not an Enterprise DNA source review and the skill has not been installed or tested by us.

Pros

  • Clear rules that cut common filler
  • Matches a voice from supplied examples
  • From a very widely used repository

Cons

  • Voice matching works best with the companion brand-voice skill
  • Still needs a human edit for facts and tone
