About Browser Use

The official skill from Browser Use (upstream name browser-use). It gives an agent direct browser control through the browser-use CLI and helpers: clicking, typing, navigating, logged-in sessions, JavaScript-heavy pages and bot-protected sites, plus cloud browsers through the Python library, Playwright or Puppeteer. It tells the agent to use a plain fetch when no browser is needed.

Best for

Developers who want an agent to operate a real browser

Use cases

  • Automate a multi-step web task that needs clicks and form input
  • Scrape a JavaScript-rendered or logged-in page
  • Take screenshots or run checks against a web app

Notes

Why it matters

Many agent tasks stall at a page that needs a click or a login. This skill gives the agent a proper browser for those cases and keeps it out of the way for simple reads.

Source

  • Skill file: skills/browser-use/SKILL.md in browser-use/browser-use.
  • Repository: 119,048 GitHub stars, MIT licence. Checked 24 Oct 2026 through the GitHub API.
  • Last change to the skill: 16 Oct 2026.
  • This page was written from the skill's own SKILL.md. It is not an Enterprise DNA source review and the skill has not been installed or tested by us.

Pros

  • From one of the most used browser agent projects
  • Sensible rule to avoid the browser when a fetch will do
  • Local or hosted browsers

Cons

  • Needs the browser-use CLI installed
  • Browser automation on third-party sites can break when pages change

Security check static checks

100 out of 100

Reads what is published about the server: package advisories, licence, secrets in the documented setup and tool permissions. Nothing is installed or run, so this is not a security assessment. Checked by edna-skill-static-v1 main@3df5806a0d09. What it checks

  • Note No dependency list or install command was found in the skill, so there were no packages to look up on OSV.
