About Cold Email Verifier

A skill from the OpenDirectory collection that processes a CSV of leads. Where only first name, last name and company are given, it looks up the company domain, generates the common address formats and checks which one is deliverable through ValidEmail.co or a self-hosted Reacher engine. It writes the verified results back to a file.

Best for

Sales and growth teams preparing lead lists

Use cases

  • Clean a lead list before an outbound campaign
  • Find the likely address for a prospect when only name and company are known
  • Check deliverability with an open-source engine you host yourself

Notes

Why it matters

Sending to bad addresses hurts deliverability for every later email. Verifying first protects the sending domain, and this skill turns that into one step on a CSV.

  • Repository: 686 GitHub stars, MIT licence. Checked 24 Oct 2026 through the GitHub API.

  • This page was written from the skill's own SKILL.md. It is not an Enterprise DNA source review and the skill has not been installed or tested by us.

Pros

  • Works from names and companies, not just existing emails
  • Choice of a paid API or self-hosted Reacher
  • Batch CSV in, CSV out

Cons

  • Guessing addresses and emailing them may breach anti-spam and privacy law in some countries, so check the rules where you sell
  • ValidEmail is a paid service

Is Cold Email Verifier looked after, and what do its setup files show

Security check static checks

90 out of 100

Reads what is published about the server: package advisories, licence, secrets in the documented setup and tool permissions. Nothing is installed or run, so this is not a security assessment. Checked by edna-skill-static-v1 main@caac7cda5621. What it checks

  • Medium Sends data to a host outside the well-known APIs, host autocomplete.clearbit.com: skills/cold-email-verifier/scripts/email_verifier.py, line 96.
  • Note 4 of 4 packages are not pinned to one version, so only the malicious packages list was checked for them, not version advisories.
