About Taste Skill (design-taste-frontend)

Taste Skill v2, a front-end design skill built from a study of 247 sites featured on One Page Love and Awwwards. It deals out researched directions (idea, composition, type, palette, photography, section blueprints), enforces a strict house style with a real-browser inspector, and runs a screenshot look-and-fix loop. It works in any stack and has separate rules for app screens such as dashboards and settings.

Best for

Developers and founders who build their own pages and want them to look designed

Use cases

  • Redesign a landing page that looks templated
  • Give a portfolio or product page a clear art direction
  • Polish dashboard and admin screens with consistent rules

Notes

Why it matters

Model-built pages tend to look like the average of every page the model has seen. This skill replaces that average with a specific, researched direction and then checks the screenshots against it.

Source

  • Repository: 101,957 GitHub stars, MIT licence. Checked 24 Oct 2026 through the GitHub API.

  • This page was written from the skill's own SKILL.md. It is not an Enterprise DNA source review and the skill has not been installed or tested by us.

Pros

  • Directions come from real award-winning sites, not generic advice
  • Screenshot loop checks the actual result
  • Works with HTML, React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, Astro and Tailwind

Cons

  • Strict house style may clash with an existing brand system
  • The browser inspector loop needs a headless browser
