About Honcho Memory for Hermes
An optional skill (upstream name honcho) in Nous Research's Hermes Agent repository. Honcho, from Plastic Labs, builds a model of the user across conversations and gives each Hermes profile its own peer identity. The skill covers setup, fixing memory that is not syncing, multi-profile setups, tuning observation, recall and write frequency, the five Honcho tools, and context budgets.
Best for
Hermes Agent users adding persistent memory
Use cases
- Add long-term user memory to a Hermes Agent install
- Fix Honcho memory that stopped syncing between sessions
- Run several Hermes profiles that share one view of the user
Notes
Why it matters
Agents forget the user between sessions unless memory is set up properly. This skill gets Honcho memory working in Hermes and keeps it working.
