The play
Package AI governance assessments for NZ businesses, focusing on policy, approved tools, staff training, and measurable risk controls.
A LinkedIn post citing AWS data says half of 1,000 New Zealand businesses now use AI, yet only 15% have a plan for it. That gap matters more than the adoption number itself. Getting staff access to ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot is easy. Deciding what they can use it for, what information can leave the business, and who can enter a client name into a prompt is the harder work.
If your team is already using AI, don’t wait for a formal transformation project. Write down a few practical rules now. Which tools are approved? What business or customer data must stay out of public AI tools? Who owns decisions when a new tool is requested? And how will people know the rules exist?
This isn’t about slowing people down. It’s about giving them a clear boundary so they can use AI without guessing. A policy no one reads won’t help, but a short set of working rules can. Start with the highest-risk information and the most common uses in your business.
This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, helping leaders see where AI is being used and put practical controls around it.
