The labor cost must use a loaded hourly rate, not just the technician’s base wage. Materials and equipment
A plumbing business often loses margin through material handling rather than dramatic purchasing mistakes.
A technician picks up fittings for an emergency repair. The receipt goes into a truck folder. A warehouse issue is not recorded against the job.
