Design the workflow before connecting accounts

Learn the input, transformation and expected output of a small workflow.

Start with this example

[{"name":"Alex","active":true},{"name":"Bo","active":false},{"name":"Casey","active":true}]

Give your assistant a clear brief

Use a compatible tool you already have, or choose a reviewed guide below. This is a suggested learning exercise, not proof that a specific installation has been tested.

Design a manually triggered workflow using only this sample data. Keep records where active is true and output their names. Show the input and output of each step. Do not connect an account or send anything.

[{"name":"Alex","active":true},{"name":"Bo","active":false},{"name":"Casey","active":true}]

Check the result

The final names must be Alex and Casey. Change Bo to active:true and rerun the manual example; all three names should appear. No live trigger or external send is needed.

What to take away

A tiny representative dataset exposes workflow mistakes before credentials and live events are involved.
