Instead of AgriDigital

Stop renting AgriDigital. Own your grain trading system.

We build your version around your sites, your grades and the way your desk buys and sells, bring your AgriDigital organisations, contracts and loads across and run it for you.

AgriDigital says its pricing is customised on trade volumes, data requirements and support needs, so the bill moves with the tonnes you trade. The price is quoted privately.

What the subscription covers

You pay by the tonne for screens over records you already own

AgriDigital does not publish a price for traders, sites or brokers. Its own pages say how the bill is set, and most of what it shows is contracts, loads and settlements.

scale

A price set by your trade volumes

AgriDigital says pricing is customised on trade volumes. The more tonnes you trade, the more the same contracts and loads can cost.

dataset

Data requirements priced in

Specific data requirements are part of how the price is set. The data is your own growers, contracts and weighbridge tickets.

support_agent

Support as a priced need

Additional support needs are the third thing AgriDigital names in how it sets the price.

download

Your own report means an export

AgriDigital offers a range of pre-built reports, and says that for a report of your own you export the data to a spreadsheet and build it there.

receipt_long

Accounts through an upload file

Its purchase and sales reports are exported in a format to upload into Xero, with a separate report for the errors that upload throws.

hub

A platform built around connections

Contracts, deliveries, inventory and payments are linked across the businesses connected to you. Underneath sit your contracts, loads and settlements.

Your own grain desk

Start with what the desk and the site ask every morning

Contracts

Know where you are long and short

Every purchase and sale with tonnes delivered and still to come, and the whole book against the cash prices you post.

  • check Stock plus bought to come less sold to go, by grade and season, in one question
  • check Every open contract and the stock in store marked to today's cash prices
  • check Growers short on a contract after the window closed, with the tonnes they still owe
  • check Contracts done on the phone with no written confirmation, before the first load arrives

The weighbridge

Catch the problem load as it comes in

Every truck in or out with its weights, quality results, variety and vendor declaration.

  • check A load that fails its grade flagged at the weighbridge, with the grade it fits and the new price
  • check A truck over the mass limit its driver declared, recorded as weighed
  • check Loads with no vendor declaration or no variety held back from settlement
  • check Grain out-turned to a buyer at their credit limit refused until they pay

Grower settlements

RCTIs that hold up

Recipient created tax invoices drafted from the loads, with GST added and the levy and end point royalty withheld.

  • check A test run first that shows every RCTI and every load held back, with the reason
  • check An RCTI refused when there is no RCTI agreement in force with the grower
  • check Loads past 28 days with no RCTI, and RCTIs issued late, named one by one
  • check The quarter's levy and royalties by commodity and variety, against the rate

Buyers and margin

Get paid and know what you made

Sale invoices from the loads out-turned, credit limits that count grain on the road, and the margin a tonne.

  • check Sale invoices drafted from the loads, never invoicing a load twice
  • check Exposure that counts loads out-turned and not yet invoiced against the limit
  • check Overdue invoices by buyer, oldest first, with a reminder drafted for a person to send
  • check The margin a tonne on each grade after freight

Switching

How to switch from AgriDigital

The move involves exporting your organisations, open contracts and deliveries, loading them into the new database, then checking the records side by side before switching.

  1. 1

    Export your AgriDigital records

Export the Organisations report, your open contracts and your deliveries from AgriDigital as CSV. AgriDigital says all your data can be exported to CSV, but report layouts can vary. If you cannot find these exports or are unsure which reports to use, check with AgriDigital. Keep your existing AgriDigital records available while you prepare and check the new system.

  2. 2

    Load the exports

Set up your sites, grades, levy rates and varieties, then import the organisations, contracts and deliveries. Start with a test run so you can see what the import will bring across before it is saved. Organisations become growers and buyers, contracts become contracts, and deliveries become loads. You can bring the import in again without creating duplicates.

  3. 3

    Check the records and warnings

Review what the import flags and correct any gaps or mismatches before relying on the new records. Compare the contract book with AgriDigital's Open Contracts report, and compare the position with AgriDigital's Inventory report. Run a dry run of settlements and compare the proposed RCTIs with the ones in AgriDigital. Settled loads and old RCTIs stay in your accounts.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep using AgriDigital while you check the new system against your live work for a short period. Compare contracts, deliveries, the position and settlement results, and investigate differences before acting on them. This gives you a chance to catch mapping issues or missing records while you can still refer to your AgriDigital account.

  5. 5

    Switch off AgriDigital

Once the records and results match closely enough for you to rely on the new system, move your day-to-day work across and stop using AgriDigital for new activity. Keep access to your old account and records for reference, including settled loads and RCTIs that were not brought across. Make sure your team knows which system is now the source for current work.

Where the real effort goes

The real work is usually mapping your fields and business rules, then deciding how much history to bring across. The available reports and their layouts can vary, so you need to check what the import flags and compare the key records before switching. If you have Enterprise DNA install and run it for you, they handle this mapping and migration work.

Questions

Instead of AgriDigital, answered

Our growers log in to AgriDigital to see their loads and RCTIs. What replaces that? expand_more

In the free version you render each grower's RCTI as a page in your brand and send it. If your growers expect to log in and see their own loads, contracts and payments, we build that view into your version on the same records, so they see exactly what your desk sees for them and nothing else.

How do our contracts and loads come across from AgriDigital? expand_more

AgriDigital says it makes it easy to export all your data in a CSV file. Your organisations, open contracts and deliveries come in as growers and buyers, contracts and loads. A test run shows what will come across before anything is saved, and running it twice does not double anything. Report layouts vary, so on the paid paths we map yours and check the contract book and the position against AgriDigital before you switch. Settled loads and old RCTIs stay in your accounts.

We rely on the grower register, ABN lookups and the weighbridge connection. Do we lose those? expand_more

The free version records each grower's NGR and ABN and takes each load from the weighbridge ticket. In your version we connect the weighbridge, the grower register and your accounting system, so a load arrives with its weights and a settlement lands in your accounts without retyping.

Does this make our RCTIs and levies compliant? expand_more

It checks your records against eight rules, from RCTI agreements and the 28 days to levies, vendor declarations, varieties for royalties, contract confirmations, grade specs and truck mass, and names the source of each. Your accountant, the tax office and the regulators still set the rules. It makes sure the evidence is on file and the gaps are named before the quarter closes.

What do we pay Enterprise DNA? expand_more

The code is free. A version built and run for your business has one setup fee, then a retainer. Sam looks at your AgriDigital bill, your sites and how your desk buys, stores and sells before agreeing the scope.

Own the records behind every tonne you trade

Take 30 minutes with Sam to go through your AgriDigital bill, your contract book and how a load moves from the weighbridge to the grower's RCTI. We map your business and agree what your version needs before you change anything.
