Instead of Cin7 Core
Stop renting Cin7 Core. Own your stock and production system.
Enterprise DNA builds your version around the way you buy, make and sell, carries your Cin7 Core products, suppliers and customers across, and looks after it from then on. No user cap, no order cap, no plan to outgrow.
Cin7 Core's published pricing, in US dollars before tax: US$349 a month on Standard, US$599 on Pro, US$1,199 on Advanced. Extra users, extra integrations and advanced production are add-ons priced by their sales team.

Where the subscription goes
A Cin7 Core plan is a user count, an order count and a list of add-ons
Standard is US$349 a month, which is US$4,188 a year before tax. Pro is US$599 a month, or US$7,188 a year. Advanced is US$1,199 a month, or US$14,388 a year. Underneath sit products, suppliers, customers, stock on hand and the orders that move it.
A ceiling on who can log in
Standard gives 5 users, Pro 10, Advanced 15. Hire a sixth person for the warehouse and you are buying more seats or stepping up a plan.
A ceiling on how much you sell
Each plan counts sale orders: 6,000 a year on Standard, 24,000 on Pro, 120,000 on Advanced. A good year pushes you toward the next tier.
Making things costs extra
Material requirements planning is an add-on on Standard. Production bills of materials and production orders need the advanced manufacturing module, an add-on even on Pro and Advanced.
Every connection is counted
Plans include 2, 4 or 6 store and app integrations. Link one more sales channel or tool and it is another purchase.
Add-ons without a price tag
The point of sale, the wholesale portal, forecasting, API access and premium support are all listed as add-ons, and none shows a price on the pricing page.
Billed in US dollars, plus tax
The published prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, so a workshop in Christchurch or Geelong pays whatever the exchange rate says that month.
What you get instead
Stock, builds and costs in one place, with no meter on growth
No caps
Grow without changing plans
Everyone who buys, builds or sells works in the same records, and a record-breaking month is only good news.
- check No limit on users, and no charge per seat
- check No count of sale orders and no tier to step up to
- check Production is part of it, not a module sold separately
- check The store, the office and the owner ask their own questions in plain English
Material
Know what is short before the build stalls
Planned material is checked against the shelf and against what is on order, job by job, against the date the customer was promised.
- check Shortages listed per job, with the purchase order meant to cover each one and its due date
- check Stock that has dropped through its reorder level, with the usual supplier beside it
- check Purchase orders past their expected date, and which job each is holding up
- check Ask which supplier's lead times keep making you late, and get a straight answer
Margin
What each job really cost
Material issued, hours booked and outside work received, set against what the job billed, so margin is a fact and not a guess at month end.
- check Fixed-price jobs flagged when cost reaches 80% of the price while there is still time to act
- check Work in progress any day: cost sitting in open jobs that no invoice yet covers
- check Finished work with nothing invoiced listed until someone bills it
- check Rates locked onto each hour and each issue, so a price change never rewrites a job in progress
Ownership
A database that stays yours
Your products, suppliers, customers and job history sit in a database the business controls, readable by any tool, whatever happens to a vendor.
- check Bring your Cin7 Core product, supplier and customer lists across and check them on the way in
- check Quotes, invoices, job sheets and cost reports come out with your logo and your business name
- check Change a field, a rule or a report by describing it in a sentence
- check Open source under the MIT licence: nothing to renew and nobody to give notice to
Make it yours
Design your own Cin7 Core replacement
Everything starts from the open-source base. Then it gets your name, the parts you run, your rules and your data from Cin7 Core. Try it here, and we build the real one.

We build it from the open-source base, bring your Cin7 Core data across and run it for you.
Switching
How to switch from Cin7 Core
Moving off Cin7 Core means exporting what your account holds, loading it into the new database, walking the floor once to confirm what did not carry over, and running the two systems together until you trust the new one.
- 1
Export your records from Cin7 Core
Cin7 Core's Export button on the product list downloads your item list, and the same button on the customer list downloads customers, their addresses and their contacts, both as a CSV file. Production orders and sales history are not detailed the same way, so before you give notice, ask Cin7 Core exactly what a full export of those includes. Save every file where you can find it later.
- 2
Load the files in
Job Shop for Claude Code reads CSV files from any system, so once your Cin7 Core exports are ready, someone points the import at your customer, item and job files and runs a test load first. Nothing is written to your real records on that pass, it only shows what would happen, so you can check it before the real load runs.
- 3
Check what the import flags
The import deliberately leaves some things out: heat numbers, work centre service dates and the cost sitting inside jobs you have not finished do not come across, because a spreadsheet saying a certificate existed does not make it one. After the load, a built in check lists exactly what is still unverified, and someone walks the floor once with the paperwork to confirm it.
- 4
Run both systems side by side
Keep Cin7 Core running while you book real jobs, stock and hours into the new database for a short period. Compare the two against each other on stock levels, open jobs and what is owed, so any gap in the move shows up while you can still check it against Cin7 Core rather than after it is gone.
- 5
Switch off Cin7 Core
Once the two systems agree and your team is comfortable working from the new one day to day, cancel the Cin7 Core subscription. Your records now sit in a plain database you own outright, with no licence fee, no per user cost and no export request needed if you ever want to move again.
Where the real effort goes
The real work in a move like this is rarely the file transfer. It is deciding how your own fields, rules and job history should look in the new system, and which records from Cin7 Core are worth carrying across versus starting fresh. Enterprise DNA does that mapping and the walk through for you when you have them install and run it.

Questions
Instead of Cin7 Core, answered
Cin7 Core is inventory software. Why compare it with a job shop system? expand_more
Because many Cin7 Core customers make what they sell: they hold stock, build from bills of materials, order from suppliers and need to know what each build cost. That is the work this system does. If you only resell goods through several online stores, the store connections are the part Enterprise DNA would build for you, and we will say on the call whether it is worth it.
How do we get our data out of Cin7 Core? expand_more
Cin7 Core's help centre shows an Export button on most screens that downloads a spreadsheet file. Products export from the product list, and customers, their addresses and their contacts export from the customer list. Ask Cin7 what a full export of production orders and sales history includes before you give notice.
Will our Cin7 Core files load straight in? expand_more
Not as they come. The free version's import reads a different system's layout, and Cin7 Core's columns are named differently. Matching them up is part of what Enterprise DNA does when we build your version, and it is always tested on a copy first so nothing is lost.
We are on Standard. Is switching worth it? expand_more
On price alone, perhaps not yet: Standard is US$349 a month. The case gets stronger when you hit the user or order ceiling, need production or MRP as an extra, or want answers the reports do not give. We will tell you honestly on the call if staying put makes more sense.
What about a phone app or barcode scanning in the warehouse? expand_more
The free version has neither. Stock issues and hours are entered in a line each. If your team needs scanning or a screen on the floor, Enterprise DNA builds it into your version, on the same database.
Stop paying more every time the business grows
Thirty minutes with Sam. We look at what Cin7 Core costs you once seats, integrations and add-ons are counted, how you actually buy, make and sell, and what your own version would look like. If it is a fit, we build it. If not, the free version is yours to run.
