Instead of EnergyElephant

Stop renting EnergyElephant. Own your energy review system.

We build your version around your sites, reporting rules and monthly review. We bring your EnergyElephant records across and run the agreed system for you.

EnergyElephant lists a multi-site retailer example from €2,000 a month, equivalent to €24,000 a year. This is a published example, not a quote for your business.

What the subscription covers

A recurring bill around your monthly energy evidence

EnergyElephant prices by meter and offers different packages. Its published multi-site retailer example starts at €2,000 a month. Compare that with the review work your business actually needs.

paid

A price tied to meter count

The subscription model follows the number of meter points. Your own version holds the sites and meters your review needs.

monitoring

Consumption review

Meter history becomes a monthly picture. Here you can read that history beside the person investigating an unexplained rise.

payments

Cost reporting

A cost total only helps when the missing amounts are visible. Your review keeps currencies separate and counts the gaps.

folder

A place for supporting records

Your review links each recorded bill to its private evidence reference, with a retention date and a review history.

sync

Optional collection services

EnergyElephant offers supplier retrieval as an add-on. Enterprise DNA scopes any collection connections your version needs before a switch.

fact_check

A repeatable monthly process

A report still needs an owner to investigate it. Your version keeps the next action, due date and recorded outcome beside the meter.

  • check Record private bill evidence references
  • check Flag evidence and retention records needing review
  • check Read missing cost alongside missing bill evidence

Weekly work

Switching

How to switch from EnergyElephant

A move involves exporting your monthly records, mapping them to the new database, checking the imported results and running both systems side by side before you switch.

  1. 1

    Export your monthly records

Use EnergyElephant’s documented Export CSV option to get your meter identities, addresses and monthly observations. Confirm the currency separately, since it is not part of the supported monthly export. If you need bill references or investigation details too, identify those records separately. If you cannot find the export option in your account, check with EnergyElephant about what it allows.

  2. 2

    Test and load the records

Have the import run as a test first, before adding records to the new database. Check that the meters, addresses, months and currency are understood correctly. Then load the supported monthly records. Different column headings can be mapped, and missing measurements stay missing rather than being filled in. If Enterprise DNA is running your version, they handle this loading work with you.

  3. 3

    Check the import results

Review what the import reports and reconcile the result against your EnergyElephant export. Identical months are skipped, while a conflicting value for an existing month stops the import and leaves records unchanged. Check any conflict against its source before making an explicit correction. Confirm that the imported months and meter identities match what you intended to bring across.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep using EnergyElephant while you check the new database against your source records and review its results. Confirm that monthly usage, costs, missing data and any records you have added for bill references or investigations are accurate. Use this short parallel period to resolve discrepancies and confirm that the new process meets your needs before you depend on it.

  5. 5

    Switch off EnergyElephant

Once you have checked the imported records and are satisfied with the new process, arrange to stop using EnergyElephant. Keep the export and any source evidence you need for your records. Back up the new database and evidence archive before shared operation. Confirm that any requirements for supplier collection, live connections or a team screen are addressed before changing your existing service.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The time-consuming part is usually mapping your own fields, limits and review rules, then deciding how much history to bring across. The supported import covers monthly meter records, so other records may need separate handling. If Enterprise DNA installs and runs your version, they do the mapping and import work with you, then reconcile the result against your source.

Questions

Instead of EnergyElephant, answered

Is the annual EnergyElephant figure our bill? expand_more

No. The vendor lists a multi-site retailer example from €2,000 a month. €24,000 is twelve months of that example. Your package and quote can differ. See the official pricing page. Enterprise DNA agrees a setup fee and retainer for your version.

Can we bring our monthly history across? expand_more

Yes, for the supported monthly export. EnergyElephant documents an Export CSV option. The free version imports meter identities, addresses and monthly observations, with the currency confirmed separately. Different headings can be mapped. We reconcile the result with your source before you rely on it.

Will this collect our bills and control our meters? expand_more

The free version works from exported records and entered bill references. Enterprise DNA scopes supplier collection, live connections and any team screen as part of your version. Confirm those requirements before changing your existing service.

Can we use it as a certified energy or carbon report? expand_more

The base produces review documents from recorded evidence. It does not certify savings, emissions or legal compliance. Evidence and retention checks identify records for a person to review. We agree any specialist reporting requirements before building your version.

What happens when an import contains a different value? expand_more

A conflicting existing month stops the import and leaves the records unchanged. Identical months are skipped. Missing measurements stay missing. A reviewer can investigate the source and make an explicit correction with a recorded reason.
