The Gingr bill
A monthly plan for every kind of pet business
Gingr prices its plans by what your facility does. Here is what sits behind the boarding bill.
The Stay plan for boarding
US$179 a month with Gingr payments switched on, or US$154 a month on an annual plan. That is US$1,848 a year before any add-on.
More without their payments
Keep your own card terminal and the Stay plan is US$209 a month. Gingr prices the plan lower when its payments are switched on.
Daycare on its own plan
A daycare without overnight boarding sits on the Play plan at US$169 a month, or US$142 billed annually.
Add-ons with no price shown
Employee scheduling, two-way text messages and a messaging bundle are listed as add-ons. The pricing page lists two-way texts for the US and Canada.
A second site means a quote
Groups with more than one facility move to the Enterprise plan, priced on the number of locations and services.
Priced in US dollars
Every plan is listed in US dollars, so a New Zealand or Australian kennel pays a bill that moves with the exchange rate.

Switching
How to switch from Gingr
A move usually involves exporting owners, animals and reservations, testing the import, checking the records, then running both systems side by side before you stop using Gingr.
- 1
Export your Gingr records
Export your owner list, animal records and reservations from Gingr. The available export format may be CSV or Excel, depending on what your account allows, so check with Gingr if you are unsure how to get these records out. Include vaccine expiry dates where available. Stored cards, report card photos and owner app logins stay with Gingr.
- 2
Test the import
Load the exported records into Pet Boarding for Claude Code, starting with a test run before you import everything. The import path covers owners, animals and reservations, and vaccine expiry dates can become vaccination records. Check the test results before proceeding, so you can see what the import will bring across and address any issues first.
- 3
Review the flagged records
Check what the test import flags and compare the results with your Gingr records. Pay particular attention to owner and animal details, reservations and vaccine expiry dates. Confirm that the fields you rely on have mapped as expected, and note anything you need to enter or handle separately. Cards, report card photos and owner app logins do not carry over.
- 4
Run both systems briefly
Keep Gingr available while you begin using the new system, and run both side by side for a short period. Compare the records and day-to-day information you rely on, including upcoming reservations, animal details and vaccination dates. Use this time to catch mismatches and confirm that your team can work with the new records before you stop relying on Gingr.
- 5
Switch off Gingr
Once you have checked the imported records and are comfortable using the new system, stop using Gingr for your day-to-day work. Keep in mind that stored cards, report card photos and owner app logins remain with Gingr, so decide how you will handle those before closing or discontinuing your account.
Where the real effort goes
The main work is usually mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding how much history to bring across. Owners, animals, vaccine expiry dates and reservations are supported, but not every Gingr item carries over. Review the test import and decide what matters for your operation. If Enterprise DNA installs and runs the system for you, they handle the mapping.

Questions
Instead of Gingr, answered
Can owners still book online? expand_more
The free version has no owner app. Owners book by phone or email and get their confirmation and go-home note as a message you send. If your owners book online now, Enterprise DNA builds a booking page into your version.
Can we bring our Gingr records with us? expand_more
Yes. Gingr's owner list and reports export to CSV or Excel. Owners, animals with their vaccine expiry dates, and reservations come across, with a test run first. Stored cards, report card photos and owner app logins stay with Gingr. Enterprise DNA does the mapping for you.
Does it take card payments? expand_more
No. It records what each owner paid and what they still owe. You keep your own card terminal, and Enterprise DNA can connect it to your version so payments land against the right stay.
Does this make us compliant with the boarding code? expand_more
No software does that on its own. It checks the records you keep against the code for your site: vaccination before admission, isolation for anything infectious, the admission record and minimum ages, each finding with its source for you to review.
What does Enterprise DNA charge? expand_more
One setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed ongoing work. Sam scopes your sites, the records to bring across and whether you need an owner booking page. The free version carries an MIT licence and costs nothing.
Bring your Gingr invoice and your Christmas booking sheet
Spend 30 minutes with Sam. Look at what Gingr costs your kennel each year, how you run arrivals and the busy season, and what has to come across. Leave with a clear scope for a boarding system your business owns.
