groups

Charges for bookable practitioners

Practice and Thrive include one full-time practitioner. Additional charges depend on plan and booked hours. Admin profiles without bookings are free.

meeting_room

Room scheduling on Thrive

Jane lists rooms and equipment among Thrive features. The free base checks room, patient and practitioner overlaps when recording a booking.

schedule

Waitlists and return visits

Thrive lists automated waitlist management and return visit reminders. The free base produces a waitlist and recall review for your coordinator.

description

Charting and intake

Jane includes charting templates and intake forms in its core features. Your clinic decides which records and paperwork your version needs.

folder

Exports when you move

Jane offers patient and appointment exports. Batch chart files have a separate support-request process. Migration needs a record-by-record scope.

What the free base does

A working clinic desk in a database you own

The week

Know who is coming and what is waiting

Review the next seven days and the work that needs a coordinator.

  • check Appointments by practitioner and room
  • check Overdue recalls with future bookings shown
  • check Missed visits in the last month
  • check Waitlist counts and longest waits by discipline

Across the records

Connect follow-up, notes and balances

Ask a specific question across the records instead of assembling separate lists.

  • check Overdue recalls alongside outstanding invoices
  • check Unsigned notes alongside the related unpaid invoice
  • check Return gaps for patients without a future booking
  • check Invoiced and recorded paid amounts by practitioner and currency

Record checks

See missing evidence before the review

The checks identify missing records and review dates. They do not certify compliance or make clinical decisions.

  • check Signed notes stay unchanged, with corrections added separately
  • check Registration evidence due for review
  • check Intake consent evidence missing from upcoming bookings
  • check NZ retention dates and security evidence needing review

Your clinic

Change the records and the paperwork

Start from a tested base and adapt the weekly routines to your clinic.

  • check Patient statements with your business name
  • check Private recall briefs and appointment summaries
  • check Read-only views of the week and overdue work
  • check Your fields and reporting rules added to your own database

Switching

How to switch from Jane App

A move involves exporting the records your account allows, mapping what the importer does not cover, and checking the new system before you stop using Jane App.

  1. 1

    Choose what to bring

List the records and history your clinic needs in the new system. The free importer handles checked patient demographics exports, but it does not import your entire Jane account. Appointment history, chart files, medical alerts, balances and insurance need separate mapping and reconciliation. Decide what to bring across and what to preserve in your clinical archive before you begin.

  2. 2

    Export records from Jane

Ask Jane App what your account can export, usually CSV or Excel, and check which export options are available to you. For the free importer, prepare a checked patient-list CSV for demographics if your account allows it. Export other records you have agreed to move, such as appointment history or balances, for separate mapping. Keep the original exports available for checking.

  3. 3

    Test the patient import

Load a test copy of the patient demographics first. The importer supports a dry run, so use it to check the data before loading it into the database. The free importer is for checked patient demographics exports, not your full Jane account. Do not treat records that need separate mapping as imported just because the patient list loaded.

  4. 4

    Review and reconcile the results

Check what the import flags, including records or fields that need attention, and resolve those issues before relying on the data. Reconcile the imported patient demographics against your source export. For appointment history, chart files, alerts, balances and insurance, use the separate mapping you agreed on and check each dataset. Keep the clinical archive intact.

  5. 5

    Run both, then switch

Use Jane App and the new system side by side for a short period, checking the records and clinic tasks you have moved. Confirm your team can access what it needs and decide which Jane services you still rely on. Jane provides booking and patient services that the free version does not replace. Switch off Jane App only after you have checked those needs and preserved the clinical archive.

Where the real effort goes

The real work is usually mapping your clinic's own fields and rules, then deciding how much history to bring across. Patient demographics have a checked import path, while appointments, chart files, alerts, balances and insurance need separate mapping and reconciliation. When Enterprise DNA runs the system for you, it scopes and handles this migration work with your clinic.

Questions

Instead of Jane App, answered

Does this replace everything Jane App does? expand_more

The free version covers appointments, recalls, notes, waitlists and invoice records. Jane also provides booking and patient services. Enterprise DNA scopes the screens, connections and operating controls your customised version needs before a switch.

Can we bring our Jane history across? expand_more

The free importer handles checked patient demographics exports. Appointment history, chart files, medical alerts, balances and insurance need separate mapping and reconciliation. We agree that scope with you and preserve the clinical archive.

Is the free version ready for identifiable health records? expand_more

It is a trusted operator base with record checks. Shared clinical use needs staff identity, appropriate access, audit records, encrypted storage, tested backups and reviewed data handling. Enterprise DNA scopes these controls with your clinic. A clean record check is not compliance certification.

Will it contact patients or process payments? expand_more

The free version prepares private recall briefs and records invoice balances. It sends no messages and processes no payments. Any patient communication or billing connection belongs in an agreed custom build with the appropriate controls.

What would Enterprise DNA charge? expand_more

We scope a setup fee around your migration, clinic rules and screens, followed by a retainer when we run it for you. Bring your Jane subscription, export requirements and one weekly task to the call.

Bring Sam one clinic task that takes too long

Book a 30-minute call with Sam. Show the Jane App bill, the records you need to keep and the weekly routine you want changed. We will scope your version and the work needed to switch.
