The plans

What MaintainX charges

MaintainX charges per user, per month, with the rate set by which plan you pick and whether you commit annually. Essential starts at US$20 a user, Premium moves to US$65 a user, and Enterprise pricing is quoted privately once you need its extra features.

Essential

US$20 per user per month billed annually, or US$25 billed monthly

Includes unlimited repeating work orders, but not parts, purchasing or meter-based maintenance.

Premium

US$65 per user per month billed annually, or US$75 billed monthly

Adds parts inventory, purchase orders, meter-based maintenance triggers and unlimited advanced analytics.

Enterprise

Quoted privately

Adds Report Builder and other features on top of Premium, priced case by case.

How the bill is built

group

Paid access for every user

MaintainX charges per user, per month. Requester accounts are free, so the real bill depends on how many full users your team needs, not on how many people just submit requests.

extension

Parts locked to Premium

Parts inventory, including your stock, usage and reorder levels, only comes with the Premium plan. On Essential, that part of your maintenance record sits outside the system you are paying for.

build

Purchasing gated by plan

Purchase orders, supplier details, expected delivery and committed cost are a Premium feature. If you sit on Essential, that spending record is kept somewhere else, or not at all inside MaintainX.

autorenew

Meter triggers cost more

Maintenance based on operating hours, the meter-based triggers for each asset, is included in Premium but not Essential. Getting service thresholds tied to actual equipment use means paying the higher per-user rate.

calendar_month

A year of MaintainX

What a team's licence adds up to yearly

For 10 to 25 users on Premium at US$65 per user per month billed annually, the licence runs to roughly US$7,800 to US$19,500 a year, before Enterprise pricing or add-ons. That range moves directly with headcount, since every user, including techs who barely open the app, is charged the same monthly rate for as long as you keep the plan.

Underneath the bill

What you are really paying for

dashboard

Access priced by seat, not by use

MaintainX charges per user each month. A technician who logs one job a week costs the same as one who logs ten, and the bill grows every time you add a person, whether or not they use the system heavily.

lock

Features held back for the higher plan

Parts inventory, purchase orders and meter-based maintenance triggers all sit behind Premium. On Essential you get the work orders but not the stock, spending or usage-based scheduling that a full maintenance record needs.

history

Your own data gated by plan and role

Getting your work-order history out as a file requires a Premium or Enterprise administrator. Even reporting depth changes by tier, with Report Builder reserved for Enterprise, so seeing your own records fully can depend on which plan you are paying for.

The owned alternative

An owned system instead of a per-user bill

Enterprise DNA builds a version of Maintenance for Claude Code around how your plant actually runs, brings your MaintainX assets, work orders and history across, and runs it for you, for one setup fee and then a monthly retainer with no per-seat charges. There is also a free, open-source version you can run yourself if you would rather manage it in-house.

Maintenance for Claude Code

One setup fee, then a monthly retainer. No per-seat plans, no tiers, and the system is yours.

Questions

MaintainX pricing, answered

How does MaintainX decide what I pay each month? expand_more

You pay per user, per month, with the rate depending on your plan and whether you commit annually or monthly. Essential and Premium have published per-user rates, while Enterprise pricing is quoted privately once your needs go beyond Premium.

Does adding more staff change the price? expand_more

Yes. Every full user is charged the same monthly rate, so adding technicians, supervisors or planners increases the bill directly. Requester accounts, used only to submit requests, are free and do not add to the per-user cost.

Why would a team need the Premium plan instead of Essential? expand_more

Essential covers unlimited repeating work orders but leaves out parts inventory, purchase orders and meter-based maintenance. Those features only come with Premium, at US$65 per user per month billed annually, which is why many maintenance-heavy teams end up paying the higher rate.
