What the subscription covers
Compare the work your label actually uses
Melino combines royalty work with wider label and publishing operations. Compare the agreed replacement scope with your current plan, including functions beyond the free base.
A catalogue-sized software quote
Label starts at €500 monthly. The combined Label + Publishing plan starts at €800 monthly, before the Supplier Portal. Larger catalogues and added options affect pricing.
Recording and publishing operations
Melino offers separate Label and Publishing plans. The free base here starts with recorded-music royalty working papers; publishing operations are a separate scope discussion.
Supplier and artist access
The Artist Portal is included in Melino plans. The Supplier Portal is an add-on. Agree which recipient and supplier experience your version needs before switching.
Agreement and share administration
Melino documents contract terms and royalty shares. Your own working record keeps the agreed percentage and its source beside each recording.
Recoupment and statement preparation
Melino documents recoupments and statement tools. Your version keeps the original income, agreed costs, calculation and review evidence together.
Reports and export preparation
Melino offers configurable reports with CSV or Excel export. Choose the income columns and reconcile one period before bringing the agreed record across.
What your version does
Follow each royalty from source income to review

- check Unmatched recording identifiers kept visible
- check A malformed import rolls back without saving half a report
Agreements
Put the share and the agreed costs together

- check Opening unrecouped advances and new agreed costs shown separately
- check Negative income carried through the recoupment calculation
- check Missing coverage and partial-period terms stop calculation for review
Review
Know what changed after the last approval
A correction keeps its earlier value and makes the review due again.
- check Source totals checked against the operator’s expected amount
- check Statement snapshots preserve the contract and income inputs
- check A different named reviewer records approval
- check A completed period is locked against routine changes
The close
Answer the next question without a fixed dashboard
Ask for the close queue, source gaps or the costs absorbing a royalty share.
- check Open questions have a named owner and due date
- check Earlier periods close before recoupment carries forward
- check Branded working statements and source-reconciliation packs
- check Read-only views for the week, income and recoupment

Ten questions for your royalty review
These questions have working answers in the demonstration. Melino also offers configurable reporting; these examples show what this build can do.
Switching
Move one reconciled royalty period first
Set the scope around your actual agreements and records. Keep the current service available until the agreed workflow has been checked.
- 1
Export the income and retain the statements
Prepare a line-level Melino income report for one period and currency. Keep the original and the existing statement for comparison.
- 2
Confirm the contract and opening balance
Review the net-income shares, agreement dates and unrecouped costs. Resolve rules that need custom treatment.
- 3
Test the import
Check the report columns and do a test run. Resolve unidentified recordings and reconcile the totals against the source.
- 4
Compare the royalty working papers
Calculate the agreed shares, review the recoupments and compare the result with the existing statement.
- 5
Agree the handover
Confirm access, backups, recipient needs and support. Move the agreed operation after the review is complete.
Where the real effort goes
Loading a prepared income file is one step. Contract mapping, opening balances and statement reconciliation determine the rest of the migration.

Questions
Instead of Melino, answered
Does the free version replace all of Melino? expand_more
It covers recorded-music income, fixed contract shares, recoupment and royalty working papers. Melino also covers publishing, distribution and portals. Enterprise DNA agrees which of those operations your version must support before proposing a replacement.
What can we bring across from Melino? expand_more
Melino offers configurable income reports that export as CSV or Excel. The free import accepts a prepared income CSV with recording identifiers, units and net income. Column names, period and currency need checking. Contracts, opening balances and earlier statements require separate review; Enterprise DNA includes the agreed preparation and reconciliation in your migration.
Will it pay artists or calculate withholding tax? expand_more
The free version prepares royalty working papers and review evidence. It makes no payments and calculates no tax. Your accountant and existing payment service remain responsible for those steps. We agree any required handover or connection as part of your version.
What happens when the income report or contract is wrong? expand_more
Unmatched income and missing agreement coverage stop calculation. Corrections keep the old income amount and clear earlier approvals. A different named reviewer checks the revised calculation. Locked periods require a controlled correction process. Team sign-in and access controls are part of the shared deployment scope.
Who maintains it, and what does Enterprise DNA charge? expand_more
You can maintain the free version yourself. Enterprise DNA customises and operates the agreed version for one setup fee, then a retainer. We agree the contract rules, migration, connections and support with you. Your records remain in a database you own.
Own the record behind your royalty statements
