Enterprise DNA

Instead of Pepperi

Move off Pepperi. Own your order-taking system.

Enterprise DNA builds your version around how your reps sell, how your promotions run and how orders reach your accounts system, brings your Pepperi accounts and history across, and runs it for you.

Pepperi does not publish its prices. It quotes each business through a demo and a sales conversation.

Inside the quote

Pepperi is a stack of modules on top of your own customer list

Pepperi splits its platform into order taking, retail execution, trade promotions, route accounting, a storefront, analytics and more. Underneath all of them sit the same few records: outlets, products, price lists, visits and orders.

layers

One module per job

Rep order taking, in-store merchandising, the promotions editor, the storefront and the analytics are separate products on Pepperi's own site.

request_quote

A price you only learn in a sales meeting

There is no pricing page. You book a demo, describe your business, and a number comes back. Comparing it with anything else means doing the same dance twice.

hub

The link to MYOB or your ERP

Orders reach AccountRight, Acumatica or EXO through an integration that has to be configured and kept running. When a field or a price rule changes, the link changes too.

insights

Reporting sold as its own product

Pepperi's operational analytics is listed as a separate offering. Asking a new question of your own orders should not need another licence.

sync_alt

Orders that leave through an integration

Pepperi's help centre shows accounts coming out through an export button. Order history comes out through order reports you set up and export to Excel.

corporate_fare

A platform owned by a software group

Pepperi is now part of Advantive.

What you get instead

Your outlets, orders and promotions in one set of plain records

Accounts

Every outlet, its price list and how it is trending

Each account carries its rep, its visit cycle, its price list and its last ninety days of orders. Sales managers and the office read the same record.

  • check Accounts that have gone quiet, ranked by what they were worth before they slowed
  • check Lines similar outlets buy that this outlet never orders, with the gap in dollars a year
  • check Special price lists held per account, so a new trading term is one change
  • check Outlets tagged by banner, so a view across a chain is one question

Rep calls

A visit cycle every manager can read

Every outlet sits on its own cycle. See which calls are due, which are late, and what each late account buys.

  • check Calls, strike rate and average order per rep, measured against target
  • check Visit notes stored on the account, not in a phone that leaves with the rep
  • check Test moving outlets between two reps and see both call loads before you decide
  • check A Monday summary of last week written from the records

Promotions

Trade promotions checked where they matter, on the shelf

A promotion is only as good as the store that runs it. Every in-store check becomes a row you can question.

  • check Display up, ticket up and shelf price right, per promotion and per outlet
  • check Stores never checked during a running promotion, listed before it ends
  • check Which promotions lifted orders only where they were run correctly
  • check The promotion price picked up on the order line automatically

Ownership

A database you control, shaped by asking

No modules to buy and no quote to renew. Everything sits in plain records any tool can read.

  • check Add a field, a rule or a report by describing it in plain English
  • check Order confirmations and rep weekly reports printed under your own name and logo
  • check Orders written out for MYOB or your ERP in one step, marked sent, and chased if they are not
  • check Open source under the MIT licence, with no vendor contract to leave

Switching

How to switch from Pepperi

Moving off Pepperi is mostly a data move: getting your accounts and order history out, checking they landed correctly, and running both systems side by side until you trust the new one before you cancel Pepperi.

  1. 1

    Export your accounts and orders

In Pepperi's Web Admin, open Accounts, then Import, and use the export icon to pull your outlets and contacts out as Excel. For order history, build an order report in Pepperi's web app and export it to Excel, or take the orders from MYOB or whichever ERP Pepperi already feeds.

  2. 2

    Load the records in

Bring the exported files into Field Sales for Claude Code as a plain import. Ask for a test run first: it shows what outlets, contacts and orders would be created, without saving anything, so you can catch a wrong column or a missing price list before it matters. Only once that looks right do you run it for real.

  3. 3

    Check what the import flags

The test run and the real import both report what did not map cleanly: a contact with no matching outlet, an order against an outlet or product that does not exist yet. Go through that list before you trust the numbers. These are usually a handful of records, not the whole book, and they are quick to fix by hand.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep Pepperi live for a short stretch while reps and the office use Field Sales for Claude Code for the same calls and orders. Compare the call cycle, the orders written and the attention list against what Pepperi shows. This is where you catch a mapping mistake that only shows up once real orders and real visits are logged, not in a test run.

  5. 5

    Switch off Pepperi

Once a full cycle of visits, orders and promotion checks look right in both places, cancel Pepperi. Keep the exported files and the database dump from Field Sales for Claude Code as your record. If you kept Pepperi's app for reps working with no signal, that piece can move later, once a phone screen is built for it.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The real work is not moving the files, it is deciding how your outlets, price lists and rules should look once they land: which fields matter, which call cycles you actually run, which compliance rules apply to you. History is a choice too, not everything Pepperi ever logged needs to come across. Enterprise DNA does this mapping and the test runs when they install and run it for you.

Questions

Instead of Pepperi, answered

Our reps take orders on Pepperi's app with no signal. What replaces that? expand_more

The free version has no offline phone app. Reps using it today work from a laptop between calls. If your team keys orders in the aisle, Enterprise DNA builds your version a phone screen that saves the order and sends it when signal returns. You can keep the app while reporting, promotions and account management move first.

Can we get our order history out of Pepperi? expand_more

Accounts come out through the export button in Pepperi's admin. Orders can be exported to Excel from an order report in Pepperi's web app, or taken from your ERP or MYOB if Pepperi already sends orders there. Either way the columns differ from the free version's format, so the records are mapped on the way in. Enterprise DNA does that mapping, and a test run shows what would be created before anything is saved.

Our retailers order through the Pepperi storefront. What do they use? expand_more

The free version has no ordering site for customers. Orders come from reps, the office, phone and email. If your stores order online now, Enterprise DNA builds a simple ordering page in your brand that reads the same price lists, so nobody loses the habit.

We run vans and invoice at the door. Does this cover route accounting? expand_more

Not in the free version. It records orders, credits and deliveries against outlets, but it does not print invoices from a van or manage van stock. If direct store delivery is part of how you trade, raise it on the call and it is scoped into your version.

Does it work with MYOB? expand_more

Yes. The free version writes every submitted order out in one step for MYOB or any other accounts system to take in, and marks those orders as sent. Anything not yet sent stays on the attention list. Enterprise DNA can automate that link so orders go straight across and price changes come back.

30 minutes with Sam. We go through your Pepperi quote, the modules your team actually uses, and what your own version would look like. If it is a fit, we build it and run it. If it is not, take the free version and run it yourself.
