Enterprise DNA

Instead of Perenso

Replace Perenso. Own your rep ordering and retail execution.

Enterprise DNA shapes your version around the way your reps call, the deals you give each account and the way orders reach your ERP, moves your Perenso customers and order history over, then operates it for you.

Perenso publishes no price list. You get a figure after a demo or a starter conversation with its sales team.

Where the money goes

With Perenso you rent the screens around a customer list you already own

Perenso sells field sales, trade show ordering, registration and a customer ordering site as products that connect together. Beneath them all are the same records your business has always kept: accounts, products, deals, calls and orders.

request_quote

A figure that arrives after the demo

Perenso's site has no price list. Every button leads to a demo or a starter call, so weighing it against anything else starts with a sales cycle.

sell

Deal logic held inside the vendor's screen

Perenso works out deals on its order screen.

layers

Separate products for field, show and online

Field sales, trade show ordering, event registration and online replenishment sit on their own pages, each pitched on its own.

hub

The connection to your ERP

Orders travel to your ERP, accounting and inventory systems through an integration that has to be configured, tested and kept alive every time a product code or price rule moves.

The report builder covers sales, coverage and distribution. A question it was not built for still waits on someone who knows the tool.

What you get instead

One set of plain records for every account, route and order

Customers

Each account with its terms, its range and its trend

An account holds its rep, its call frequency, its price list, its deals and what it has ordered. Head office and the field look at one record.

  • check Core lines similar stores carry that this store has never ordered, valued per year
  • check Accounts buying less than they used to
  • check Deals written as rules you can read
  • check Every store grouped by rep and territory

Routes

Call frequency and route coverage a manager can check

Each store has its own visit frequency. See who is overdue, who is close, and what the overdue stores spent in the last ninety days.

  • check Coverage across the territory as a single percentage
  • check Strike rate, calls per day and average order per rep against target
  • check Shift stores from one rep to another and compare both workloads first
  • check A weekly report for each rep, drawn from the records

Retail execution

Range, distribution and planogram checks you can query

Store audits stop being forms that sit in an app. Each check becomes a record you can count, compare and chase.

  • check Facings, shelf price, gaps and off-planogram lines per store and per product
  • check Promotion checks: display, ticket and price, plus stores nobody has checked
  • check Shelf prices for each line across every store, so outliers surface
  • check Which promotions moved orders only where stores set them up properly

Ownership

Your database, changed by describing what you want

No separate products to license and no renewal quote. Everything is held in plain records any tool can open.

  • check Describe a new field, rule or report in plain English and it is added
  • check Order confirmations and rep weekly summaries carry your own name and logo
  • check Submitted orders written out for your ERP in one step, with anything unsent flagged
  • check MIT licence and open source, with no vendor agreement to unwind

Switching

How to switch from Perenso

A move usually involves exporting the records Perenso or your ERP can provide, mapping the columns, checking a test run, and running both systems side by side before you stop using Perenso.

  1. 1

    Export your records

Ask Perenso support for your customers, contacts and order history as a spreadsheet, or get order history from the ERP that already receives it. Perenso does not publish an export guide, so check with Perenso which formats your account allows, usually CSV or Excel. Also ask what your account can provide for price lists and deals, rep calls and routes, and range or shelf checks.

  2. 2

    Load the records

Load the records into Field Sales for Claude Code. Perenso's columns will not match the new system's format, so the records need to be mapped as they come in. Start with a test run. It lists what the import would create before anything is saved, giving you a chance to review the result before loading your records.

  3. 3

    Review the test run

Check the test-run list and anything it flags before saving the import. Confirm that customers, contacts and orders are associated correctly, and that the pricing, deals and field history you chose to bring across have mapped as expected. Follow up on records that are missing or do not map cleanly, then run the import when you are comfortable with what it will create.

  4. 4

    Run both side by side

Keep Perenso in use for a short period while you work in Field Sales too. Compare the records and workflows your team relies on, such as customer details, orders and the field checks you brought across. This gives you a chance to spot gaps in the imported data or in the way your business rules are represented before you rely on the new system alone.

  5. 5

    Switch off Perenso

Once you have checked the imported records and your team is ready to work in Field Sales, stop using Perenso for the work you have moved. Keep any Perenso functions you still depend on, such as phone ordering or trade show ordering, until you have another way to handle them. The free version has no phone or tablet app, trade show ordering app or customer ordering site.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The real work is usually mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding how much history to bring across. Perenso's columns will not match the new system's format, and complex deals may need to be written as rules in your version. If you have Enterprise DNA install and run it for you, Enterprise DNA does the mapping as part of the move.

Questions

Instead of Perenso, answered

Our reps write orders on a tablet in store. Can they keep doing that? expand_more

Not with the free version, which has no phone or tablet app. On it, a rep writes orders on a laptop between calls. If your reps order in the aisle, Enterprise DNA builds a phone screen into your version. You can keep the existing app for reps while reporting, retail execution and account management move across first.

We take most of our orders at trade shows. Is that covered? expand_more

No. The free version has no show ordering app, lead capture or badge printing. It holds the accounts, deals and orders those shows produce. If shows are a large share of your year, tell Sam on the call and show ordering is scoped as part of your version, or you keep Perenso for show season only.

How do we get our history out of Perenso? expand_more

Perenso publishes no export guide, so ask its support team for your customers, contacts and order history as a spreadsheet, or take orders from the ERP that already receives them. Those columns will not match the free version's format, so the data is mapped on the way in. Enterprise DNA does the mapping, and a test run lists everything it would create before anything is saved.

Can it work out our deals and rebates like Perenso does? expand_more

The free version prices each order line from the account's price list and picks up any running promotion. Complex deal structures, such as tiered volume deals or banner rebates, are written as rules in your version, so anyone can read why an order line carries the price it does.

Our customers reorder online through Perenso. What replaces that? expand_more

The free version has no customer ordering site. If your accounts replenish online today, Enterprise DNA builds an ordering page in your brand that reads the same price lists and deals.

Keep the customers, drop the rented screens

30 minutes with Sam. We look at your Perenso quote, which parts your reps and office really use, and what your own version would involve. If it fits, we build it and run it. If not, take the free version and run it yourself.
