Instead of Promax
Stop renting Promax. Own your trade promotion system.
We build your version around your customers, deal types and approval rules, bring your Promax promotions, retailer claims and scan data across, and run it with your sales and finance teams.
Promax does not publish a price. It is quoted privately and priced by the features you take, and the rollout is a project with Wipro or a partner.

What sits inside a Promax bill?
Trade promotion software is sold as a platform, quoted per business. Separate the screens from the work your key account managers and finance team do every week.
A price you cannot see
There is no public price list. What you pay depends on the modules you take and what you negotiated, and the next renewal starts that conversation again.
Priced by feature
Promax is listed as priced per feature, with planning, settlement, analytics and optimisation offered as separate pieces. The work underneath is the same list of customers, products, deals and claims.
An implementation project
Wipro describes rollouts it ran itself, fitted around the customer planning year and an ERP upgrade. Your own version starts from a demo you can run today and grows by asking.
A planning grid
Much of the licence is the screen where account managers type volumes week by week. Underneath, a promotion is a customer, dates, products, deal rates and a forecast.
Settlement inside the platform
Matching retailer claims and deductions to the deals they pay for is the job that saves money. In your own version it is plain records, a few checks and a letter drafted when a claim is wrong.
Analytics on top
Post-event results and optimisation are sold as the next tier. Most suppliers need four answers after a promotion: units, uplift, spend and what it earned.
Your own trade promotions
Every deal tracked from agreement to the last claim
Claims
Clear retailer claims and deductions
Every claim and every deduction off a remittance is matched to the promotion it pays for, and checked against what that promotion was worth.
- check Deductions nobody has matched, oldest first, with the promotions each one could belong to
- check Claims that add up to more than the deal, by promotion
- check Scan claims for weeks outside the promotion, and the same claim sent twice
- check A query letter to the retailer drafted from the records, ready to check and send
Grocery code
The grocery codes, checked on every deal
Your records are checked against the Australian Food and Grocery Code and the New Zealand Grocery Supply Code, with each rule cited.
- check Promotion funding asked for where your supply agreement has no funding clause
- check Funded promotions with no written notice from the retailer, or notice that came late
- check Promotional orders cut by more than 10% without your consent, and deductions you never agreed to
- check Promotional stock left unsold, with what that is worth back to you, and Australian price increases with no answer after 30 days
Results
Know which promotions paid back
Each promotion is measured against the weekly baseline for that customer and product, using the scan data retailers already send you.
- check Uplift on baseline for every completed promotion
- check Trade spend split into off-invoice, scan and fixed funding
- check Extra gross profit after the units you would have sold anyway, and the return on spend
- check Deals under your margin floor flagged before they are agreed
Month end
Accruals and budgets without the spreadsheet
Finance sees what is owed on promotions that have run and what each customer has left to spend this year.
- check Open accruals by customer, on scan units where they have come in
- check Trade budget by customer for the year from 1 July: committed, proposed and left
- check A promotion agreement, claim query, accrual schedule and post-event report in your brand
- check Your own deal types, thresholds and checks, changed in plain words

Switching
How to switch from Promax
A move involves exporting your promotions and claim data, mapping it to the new records, checking the import and running both systems side by side before you stop using Promax.
- 1
Export your records
Export the Promax promotion and claim reports in the format your account allows, usually CSV or Excel. Promotions should have one row per promotion and product. Gather the customer and product details needed to match those records, along with weekly scan data and retailer claim files from the files retailers already send. Check with Promax if you need help finding the available exports.
- 2
Test and load the data
Start with a test run of the promotion import, which checks the records without writing them to the database. When the test looks ready, load the promotions, then load retailer claims and weekly scan data from their files. The import matches records to customers and products, so make sure you have the details needed to identify each one.
- 3
Review import flags
Check the import results before relying on the new records. An unknown customer or product stops the promotion import before it writes any records, so correct the mapping or record details and try again. Confirm that approved Promax promotions came across as agreed and submitted promotions as proposed. Review the claims and scan data you loaded too.
- 4
Run both side by side
Keep Promax available while your team uses the new database for a short period. Check that current promotions, claims and scan data are present, and compare the records your team relies on in both systems. Use this time to resolve missing or mismatched data and make sure your team can handle its regular promotion work with the new system.
- 5
Switch off Promax
When your team has checked the imported records and is comfortable doing its regular work in the new system, stop entering new work in Promax. Keep using the database and Claude Code for trade promotion records and queries. Make the switch only after you have resolved the import issues that matter to your business.
Where the real effort goes
The work is usually in mapping your own customer, product and promotion fields, matching retailer claims, and deciding how much history to bring across. Layouts differ by business, so the effort depends on your records and what you need to carry forward. If you have Enterprise DNA install and run it, they handle the migration and mapping with you.

Questions
Instead of Promax, answered
Can our account managers still plan promotions week by week? expand_more
Yes, by asking. A promotion is a customer, in-store dates, products, deal rates and a forecast, and each is added in plain words. The free version has no planning grid. If your team wants a screen to plan the year on, we build one into your version over the same records.
Can we bring our Promax history across? expand_more
Yes. Promax exports promotions to a spreadsheet, one row per promotion and product. Approved promotions come across as agreed, submitted ones as proposed, and anything with an unknown customer or product stops the import before a single record is written. Retailer claims and weekly scan data load from the files the retailers already send. Layouts differ by business, and mapping yours is part of what we do.
Does it forecast volumes for us? expand_more
It measures each promotion against a weekly baseline you set for each customer and product, and shows uplift, spend and return from real scan data. It does not run a forecasting model. If you want baselines worked out from your sales history, we build that into your version.
Is the grocery code check legal advice? expand_more
No. It checks your records against the rules the codes set for supermarkets and wholesalers: promotion funding, written notice, order cuts, deductions and price increases. It tells you where a conversation or a complaint may be needed, with the rule cited. Your adviser makes the call.
What will Enterprise DNA charge? expand_more
One setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed service. Sam scopes your customers, deal types, history and connections with you on a call. The free version is open source if you want to run it yourself.
