Instead of Salesforce Warranty Lifecycle Management

Stop renting Salesforce Warranty Lifecycle Management. Own your warranty claims system.

We build your version around how you assess claims, bring your Salesforce records across and run it for you. Start with serial numbers and evidence, then add your return and supplier rules.

Salesforce lists Manufacturing Cloud Service Core at US$275 per user per month, billed annually. Confirm warranty entitlements in your quote.

What the subscription covers

Your warranty desk sits inside a wider platform bill

The published Service Core rate is US$3,300 per user for a year. That is a platform subscription, not a standalone warranty price. Compare your actual contract with the work your team needs.

Contractual coverage administration

The wider platform bundles other services and offers additions. Scope the warranty work you use before choosing what to replace.

Claims

Every serial number has a claim history

Read the asset, fault, cost lines and recorded decision together.

  • check Link claims to serial numbers and products
  • check Separate claimed costs from approved amounts
  • check Record inspection references and named decisions
  • check Find repeat faults across serial numbers and dealers

Coverage

Keep contractual checks and consumer review together

Compare the failure date and usage with the warranty you recorded, then identify missing evidence.

  • check Check the actual failure date against the recorded window
  • check Show when a usage reading or unit is missing
  • check Flag consumer review when recorded limits do not settle the question
  • check Keep serious-harm awareness and reporting references visible

  • check List parts overdue for return
  • check Record receipt and inspection disposition
  • check Reconcile cumulative credits against supplier requests
  • check Find partial recoveries still overdue after claim approval

Weekly review

Put the outstanding work in front of the owner

Read the queue and prepare the paperwork from the same records.

  • check Show unresolved claims by owner and age
  • check Keep costs separate for each currency
  • check Prepare draft assessments, return authorisations and recovery requests
  • check Combine consumer-review gaps with missing returned parts in one answer

Switching

How to switch from Salesforce Warranty Lifecycle Management

A move usually involves mapping supported Salesforce reports and your fields and rules, then trial-importing, reconciling exceptions, and checking both systems before you retire Salesforce.

  1. 1

    Export supported detail reports

Identify the supported Salesforce detail reports that contain your warranty records, then export what your account allows. Include stable relationship IDs so records can be linked during import. The import uses mapped CSV files. If you are unsure which report export options or records are available in your account, check with Salesforce before preparing the files.

  2. 2

    Prepare and trial the import

Map the report columns and links to the records this system supports, then put the mapped files together for import. Run the trial first. It validates all supported files together without committing them. Review the trial results before running the import for real, so you can correct mapping issues before records are loaded.

  3. 3

    Resolve import flags

Review any broken references or changed source records the import flags, and reconcile them before proceeding. The import retains the original source rows and stops rather than silently accepting those problems. Historical Salesforce approvals remain source evidence until reviewed, rather than becoming new local decisions. Attachments and other history may need separate mapping.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

For a short overlap, keep Salesforce available while you use the new database and Claude Code for warranty work. Compare the records and decisions that matter to your operation, including claims, linked assets, warranty terms, returned parts and supplier recoveries. Note missing or mismatched information, then correct the mapping or records before relying on the new system alone.

  5. 5

    Switch off Salesforce

When the overlap checks are satisfactory, stop entering new warranty work in Salesforce Warranty Lifecycle Management and use the new system for the claims desk. Confirm that you have addressed the history and attachments you chose to bring across. Then switch off Salesforce Warranty Lifecycle Management according to your account and business requirements.

Where the real effort goes

The real work is usually mapping your own fields, relationships and rules, then deciding which history to bring. The import supports mapped Salesforce detail reports, but custom fields, attachments, portals, automation, detailed contract exclusions and legacy payment records need separate mapping and build work. If you have Enterprise DNA run your version, they handle this migration work as part of the setup.

Questions

Instead of Salesforce Warranty Lifecycle Management, answered

Does this replace all of Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud? expand_more

The free version covers the warranty claims desk: assets, contractual windows, cost lines, evidence, returns and supplier recoveries. Enterprise DNA scopes the wider records, screens and connections your business needs before you switch.

What happens to our existing claims and approvals? expand_more

The free version imports supported Salesforce detail reports together, after their columns and links are mapped. It retains the original rows and stops on broken references or changed source records. Historical approvals stay as source evidence until reviewed. Enterprise DNA maps custom fields, attachments and remaining history as part of your version.

Can it reject a claim because the warranty has expired? expand_more

It shows the recorded contractual limits. The operator makes the decision. It asks for a consumer-rights review where an outside-limit or incomplete check needs one, and records the reviewer, reason and evidence. Record checks do not determine legal entitlement.

What will our version cost? expand_more

Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed work. The free code has no per-user licence charge; hosting and coding-agent usage are separate. Compare your actual Salesforce contract with the claims workflow and ongoing service you want.

Can our dealers use a portal or send photos from a phone? expand_more

Yes, Enterprise DNA can build the dealer access, phone capture and document connections into your version. We agree how those records reach the claims desk and who can see them before building it.
