Instead of Unleashed
Stop renting Unleashed. Own your wholesale distribution system.
We build your version around how you quote, ship and reconcile stock, bring your Unleashed data across, and run it for you. No plan tiers, and the system is yours.
Unleashed charges per user per month, with the B2B portal, advanced inventory and serious API access as extra add-ons above the base subscription.

What you are paying for
Most of an Unleashed bill is the front end
A product is one row: what it costs, what it sells for, how many are on the shelf. The screens around those rows are what you rent, and the rent is per person, per month, plus the add-ons.
A seat for everyone who looks
Pricing is per user per month. The trade counter, the warehouse, accounts and the owner each need a login, so the bill scales with your headcount, not with any value added to your stock.
The add-on ladder
The B2B portal, advanced inventory features and serious API access sit above the base subscription. The quote you signed grows a rung at a time after you have committed.
An onboarding project before any value
Warehouses, sell price tiers, templates and workflows are configured into the vendor's system, usually with paid onboarding. The learning curve is yours; the configuration stays theirs.
Support on the vendor's clock
When stock will not ship, you are in a ticket queue across time zones. Distribution is a same-day business; the queue is not.
Reports from the menu only
You get the reports the vendor built. "Which backorders have no purchase order behind them" and "which legacy customer price is now below cost" are your questions, not their charts.
Your history behind their export
Years of products, stock movements, orders and customer deals live in their system. Leaving means exports, and the movement ledger, the part that explains where every unit went, is the part that fights you.
What you get instead
A warehouse you talk to
The shelves
A stock ledger that explains every unit
On hand is the sum of movements and nothing else: every receipt, shipment, adjustment and count is a row with its reason. Stock never goes negative, and shrinkage has an audit trail instead of a shrug.
- check On hand, allocated, available and on order per product, per warehouse, off one ledger
- check Adjustments refuse to exist without a reason; stocktake counts write the shelf's truth into the book
- check The reorder run reads points, live demand and supplier lead times together, grouped into POs
- check Dead stock named in dollars: held 90 days, no sales, nothing allocated
Orders to cash
Backorders honest, invoices only for what shipped
Shipping moves what stock allows and records the shortfall loudly, with the inbound PO date to promise or the absence of one. Billing drafts what shipped, never more.
- check Every line priced at entry off the customer's price, their tier, or the list, and the match written on the line
- check The backorder list splits into covered (a date to promise) and NO PO (a decision to make today)
- check One command drafts an invoice per customer for shipped goods, GST on its own line, due off their terms
- check Margins from stamped prices and cost snapshots: the below-cost legacy deal shows as a loss with a name
The law in the warehouse
Compliance as checks, not a binder
The rules a distributor lives under are gates and checks against the records, each citing its source.
- check Selling below cost demands to be said out loud; unpriced products book at zero, loudly, never silently
- check Hazardous lines carry a declared storage ceiling (HSWA Hazardous Substances Regulations 2017) and the check reads the shelf against it
- check Credit accounts checked for signed terms of trade and the PPSR registration that makes retention of title survive a liquidation
- check Invoices checked against taxable supply information rules, prices against the customer's own list (Fair Trading Act), adjustments against the Companies Act's demand that records explain themselves
Yours
Your database, your prices, your name on the paperwork
Plain records you own, a compliance rule book you can edit, and documents that come out with your logo on them.
- check Import your Unleashed suppliers, customers with their tiers, products and stock on hand in one command
- check Setting it up puts your brand and GST number on tax invoices, picking slips, purchase orders and per-customer price lists
- check Read-only HTML dashboards of the warehouse and the money, rendered in your brand, no server
- check Add a field, a rule or a whole command by describing it. MIT licence, no vendor to leave.

Ask it anything
Questions Unleashed cannot answer
Every one of these is a real question the demo answers today. Yours will be different, and that is the point.
Switching
How to switch from Unleashed
The move itself is one export, one import command, and a short stretch of re-keying the things that deliberately do not carry across, such as open orders and price deals.
- 1
Export your records from Unleashed
Export suppliers, customers, products and stock on hand as CSV, using whatever export the account allows (usually CSV or Excel, check with Unleashed if you are unsure). These four files are what the import command reads. Codes, tiers, terms, costs, sell prices and reorder points travel with them, so get these right before you move on.
- 2
Load them with the import command
Import your suppliers, customers, products and stock from your existing files. Do a test run first to see what would happen before anything is saved. Once the test run looks right, run the same import again for real to load the data.
- 3
Check what the import flags
Stock lands as counted stocktake moves, so the ledger starts explained rather than inherited. Open orders, customer price deals and sales history deliberately do not come across: open orders get re-keyed (a chunk of them turn out to be dead), and each price deal is re-entered beside today's cost so anything below cost gets caught at the door. The migration guide walks through exactly what to re-key and what to hand the warehouse on cutover weekend.
- 4
Run both side by side briefly
Keep Unleashed running alongside the new system for a short stretch while stock, prices and open orders get checked against each other. Ask for the compliance check on the imported data during this window, so anything missing a terms of trade, a PPSR record or a reason on an adjustment surfaces before Unleashed goes away.
- 5
Switch off Unleashed
Once the numbers match and the team is working from the new system without needing to check back, cancel Unleashed. There is nothing left to migrate: the data sits in your own records, not behind a subscription, so there is no export deadline hanging over the switch.
Where the real effort goes
The mechanical part, export and import, is the easy half. The real work is mapping your own fields, price rules and terms onto the new system, and deciding how much sales history is worth bringing over versus starting the ledger clean. Enterprise DNA does this mapping and the cutover itself when they install and run it for you.

Questions
Instead of Unleashed, answered
We scan barcodes at the pick face. Does this replace that? expand_more
Not the scanning, not today. The free open-source version has no warehouse app. Movements are recorded by commands, imports, or whatever capture tool you already point at the dock. Plenty of operations keep a cheap scanner workflow for the physical moment and run everything behind it here: the ledger, the backorders, the reorder run, the pricing, the billing gate. When Enterprise DNA builds your version, a phone or tablet scanning app can be added on top.
Is it really free? expand_more
Yes. MIT licence. Run it anywhere, change anything, no account with us, and no fee per user ever. The whole team points at one shared database and pays nothing per seat.
What happens to my Unleashed data? expand_more
Export suppliers, customers, products and stock on hand as CSV and run the import command. Codes, tiers, terms, costs, sell prices, reorder points and per-warehouse stock come with you, and stock lands as counted stocktake moves so the ledger starts explained. Open orders and customer price deals are deliberately re-keyed: the migration guide says exactly why, and what to walk the warehouse with on cutover weekend.
Does it send my invoices? expand_more
Not yet on its own. The free open-source version drafts one invoice per customer from shipped goods, GST on its own line, and renders it in your brand with your GST number, but you send it from your own system. When Enterprise DNA builds your version, sending invoices directly can be added.
Can the counter, the warehouse and accounts all use it at once? expand_more
Yes. Point everyone at a shared database and they run the same commands against the same ledger, with no per-seat fee. That sentence is most of the reason this project exists.
Stop paying per seat to look at your own stock
Thirty minutes with Sam. We look at what Unleashed costs you per year at your seat count and add-ons, what your team actually uses, and what the installed version would look like for you. If it is a fit, we install it. If it is not, take the free version and run it yourself.
