Instead of Vinsight

Stop renting Vinsight. Own your beverage stock system.

We build your version around your cellar and dispatch routine, map the Vinsight records you need, and run it for you. Agree the production history, reports and connections before moving.

Vinsight Production Standard is NZ$177 a month, or NZ$2,124 over twelve months. Premium is NZ$399 a month. Extra Production users are NZ$59 a month each. Prices exclude applicable sales tax.

The Vinsight bill

A production plan, included users and a recurring charge

Vinsight publishes separate Winery and Production and Sales and Inventory plans. Compare the plan your business actually uses, including its integrations, with the version you want to own.

paid

The production starting point

Production Starter is NZ$59 a month before applicable sales tax. That is the published starting price, not an enterprise-sized invoice.

layers

The step to Standard

Production Basic is NZ$99 a month and Standard is NZ$177. Compare the features your cellar needs before deciding which bill to replace.

groups

Users included in each plan

Starter and Basic include one user. Standard includes three and Premium includes seven.

person_add

People above the allowance

An additional Production user costs NZ$59 a month. Include every person who needs access when checking your current invoice.

inventory_2

Two different product ranges

Sales and Inventory has its own pricing range. A stock-only business should compare that offering with its needs instead of assuming it needs a Production plan.

calendar_month

A monthly commitment

Production Premium is NZ$399 a month, or NZ$4,788 over twelve months, before applicable sales tax. Your own version replaces the software licence with agreed setup and ongoing operation.

Batches

Find the lot before making the promise

Bring the batch reference, source document and measured strength into the same review.

  • check See batches by product and production date
  • check Hold a lot until its evidence is ready
  • check Spot analysis dates that need attention
  • check Change the review policy to match your documented process

Dispatch

Check what can leave the store

Put the order beside the stock available at its location, so a shortage appears before dispatch.

  • check See overdue orders and the customer waiting
  • check Compare required units with available units
  • check Block dispatch of held batches or insufficient stock
  • check Keep carrier, consignment and reviewed duty references with the movement

Traceability

Follow the movement history

Receipts, losses and dispatches stay connected to their batch. Corrections retain the original movement history.

  • check Trace a dispatched lot to its recorded customers
  • check Read the evidence attached to a stock loss
  • check Review liquid litres and alcohol volume together
  • check Prepare a batch record and dispatch note in your business name

Your questions

Make the weekly review fit your operation

Begin with the supplied checks, then add the questions and rules your own team needs.

  • check See old stock by batch and location
  • check Find missing licence and production references
  • check Prepare an excise evidence worksheet for review
  • check Add your own report combining order urgency, batch holds and stock age

Switching

How to switch from Vinsight

Moving off Vinsight is mostly a mapping exercise rather than a straight data dump, since only vessel references import directly and everything else needs checking against your own records.

  1. 1

    Export your records from Vinsight

Vinsight documents downloading a list as a spreadsheet, usually CSV. Export what your account allows, batches, vessels, products, customers, and sales history if you can get it. If you are not sure what your plan lets you export, check with Vinsight directly before you start.

  2. 2

Load the file in as a test

Bring the export in on a test run first, before it touches anything you rely on. Vessel references usually come across cleanly. Product and contact details need someone to check the headings match up. Do this away from your live records so a mistake costs nothing.

  3. 3

    Check what the import flags

After a test load, look at what came across clean and what did not. Detailed production records, opening stock and full sales history usually need a separate plan rather than a straight import. Treat this list as your to-do before you rely on the new records for anything real.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep Vinsight running while you use the new system for real work, for a short period. Compare the two on the records that matter to you, batches, stock and dispatch. This is where you catch anything the move missed before you commit to it.

  5. 5

    Switch off Vinsight

Once the new system matches Vinsight on the records you checked, and the team is comfortable working from it day to day, cancel the Vinsight plan. Keep your exported records and backups regardless, they are your history, not just a bridge to get you across.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The export and load are the easy part. The real work is mapping your product and contact headings to your own fields, deciding how much sales and production history to bring across, and setting up the rules your cellar actually follows. Enterprise DNA does this mapping and migration work when you have them run it for you.

Questions

Instead of Vinsight, answered

Is this a complete copy of Vinsight? expand_more

The free base covers batch references, stock movements, sales orders and dispatch evidence. Enterprise DNA scopes the cellar production, costing, integrations and screens your business needs as part of your custom version. We compare those requirements before recommending a switch.

What happens to our existing Vinsight history? expand_more

Vinsight documents downloading a list as a spreadsheet. Vessel references import directly. Product and contact headings need checking and mapping. Detailed production, stock-opening and sales history need a separate migration plan. We bring across the agreed records and reconcile them before you rely on the new system.

Will it prepare our excise and wine tax returns? expand_more

The free version prepares movement evidence, quantities and missing-record checks. It does not calculate or file tax returns. Your responsible adviser confirms classifications and obligations. We scope any further reporting around that reviewed process.

Can cellar staff use a phone or a familiar screen? expand_more

Yes, a phone-friendly workflow or web front end can be part of the version Enterprise DNA builds for your team. We agree how staff enter production, scanning and dispatch records during setup.

What do we pay Enterprise DNA? expand_more

One setup fee, then a retainer for the work we agree. The free code carries no per-user licence charge. Hosting, agent subscriptions and operating support have their own costs. We compare the full cost with your current Vinsight plan before you commit.
