Google packages a full vertical AI stack for financial services, not just API access

The play

Evaluate the preview against your compliance, licensed-data, citation, and audit requirements before committing to a vertical platform.

Google Cloud has put together a more complete AI package for financial services, rather than asking banks and investment firms to stitch together a model, data feeds, connectors, and internal controls themselves.

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services includes pre-built financial “skills”, secure MCP connectors to licensed sources including FactSet, LSEG, S&P Global, Moody’s, MSCI, and SEC Edgar. It also includes a Financial Research agent that returns confidence scores and citations alongside its answers. That matters because finance teams cannot rely on a fluent answer alone. They need to know where information came from, whether it is current, and how much confidence to place in it.

The product is currently in preview. Google says Deutsche Bank and CME Group are design partners, while BNY, Citi Wealth, Lloyds, and Macquarie are early adopters. It will also be distributed through major consulting and services firms including Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, and Infosys, according to Google’s announcement.

For business owners outside financial services, the bigger signal is clear. The leading AI providers are moving beyond general-purpose chat tools and APIs into industry-specific operating layers. They are packaging trusted data access, controls, workflows, and evidence into one environment. That is likely where practical AI adoption will happen fastest, not through teams building every component from scratch.

This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, connecting AI activity to the data, workflows, and oversight your business actually needs.
