The play
Use the figure as a directional benchmark only, and compare agent-suite pricing with realized adoption, productivity gains, and contract commitments.
Salesforce’s reported $46 billion FY2027 revenue guidance tied to its agent platform is doing the rounds again, via a LinkedIn post that points back to an April figure. Treat it as a useful market signal, not a newly announced result. The number is secondhand, and the post does not change what Salesforce has actually delivered or sold today. You can see the claim in the LinkedIn post.
Still, the figure matters because it puts a large stake in the ground. Salesforce is effectively framing AI agents as a major future revenue category inside enterprise software, not a small add-on feature. That suggests the biggest software vendors believe companies will pay meaningful, recurring sums for tools that can handle work across sales, service, operations, and internal teams.
For business owners, don’t read this as a reason to buy an agent suite because a large vendor has made a big forecast. Read it as a pricing and market-direction benchmark. Your question is simpler: where could an AI agent reliably complete or improve a piece of work that currently consumes paid staff time, slows revenue, or creates customer friction? Start there, measure the result, and keep control of the process and data around it.
This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, connecting practical agent use cases to the operational metrics that tell you whether they are actually working.
