How the bill is built
Active user licences
Caseware Cloud is licensed by the number of active users. Each preparer, reviewer or partner who opens a file counts, so the number of people using it affects your licence.
Sales quote and renewal
Caseware does not publish a price list. Your figure comes from a sales conversation and the renewal terms you agreed, so ask for your renewal figure before comparing costs.
Separate cloud apps
Financials and audit sit in separate cloud apps. If your practice only produces year-end accounts, you may still find yourself comparing several products to work out what your licence covers.
Desktop and cloud versions
Caseware sells Working Papers on desktop alongside its cloud apps. Check which products and versions your renewal covers before comparing the bill with what your team uses.

The number of active users affects your Caseware Cloud licence. Preparers, reviewers and partners count when they open a file, so the bill reflects who uses the system.
Templates and layout upkeep
Statement and workpaper templates come with the product. Your own layout still needs setting up and keeping current each year, which is part of maintaining the way your practice uses it.
