Instead of EasyCars
Stop paying EasyCars for a quote you cannot compare. Own your yard system.
We build your version around the cars, trucks, bikes, caravans or boats you sell, bring your EasyCars stock and customer records across, and run it for you.
EasyCars publishes no price. Its pricing page says packages are customised and asks you to get a quote, so every dealer's bill is set privately.

Where the quote goes
A custom package wrapped around records that belong to your yard
EasyCars sells a dealer system, an advertising tool, websites and add-ons, each shaped into a package for your dealership. Underneath sit the same few records every yard keeps: units, customers, sales, invoices and the paperwork behind them.
A price you only learn by asking
There is no rate card. Packages are customised, so you cannot check what another dealer your size pays or what changes when you add a module.
Advertising sold as its own product
EasyAd, the listing feeds and the Facebook inventory ads sit beside the dealer system as a separate line, with more advertisers offered through the add-ons hub.
The workshop is somewhere else
Workshop management comes through an integration with Workshop Mate, so repair work and the unit it was done on live in two systems that have to stay in step.
Caravans on a separate DMS
Caravan dealers get their own Caravan DMS. A yard that sells both cars and vans has to work out which product, or which pair, it is paying for.
Training charged by the hour
One-on-one training is optional and billed hourly. Learning where a report lives in someone else's screens is a cost you carry each time a new person starts.
No stated way out
The EasyCars site says nothing about exporting your stock, customers or sales history. Here the records already sit in your own database, so there is nothing to get back.
What replaces it
Stock, sales, workshop and money in one place, asked for in plain English
Stock
Every unit on the yard with its true cost beside it
Cars, utes, trucks, bikes, vans or boats on one list, each showing days on hand, prep spend and the floorplan interest it has run up.
- check Floorplan interest per aged unit, worked out unit by unit, which a listing tool never shows you
- check Prep and reconditioning land in the unit cost, so the margin on each sale is the real one
- check Units past your aged line are named with the call to reprice or send to auction
- check Your aged line and interest rate are settings you change by asking
Sales
From enquiry to handover, with the paper checked on the way
Each deal steps through quote, deposit and delivery, and the checks a dealer answers for run at the step they belong to.
- check No handover without a security interest search on record
- check Deposits sitting with no delivery are flagged before the buyer cools off
- check Every lost sale keeps its reason, so you see why buyers walk
- check Sale agreements, statements and service histories print under your own name and colours
Workshop
Repair orders on the same record as the stock
Customer jobs and your own prep work share one list, tied to the unit, with no second system to keep in line.
- check Finished jobs with no invoice are listed with what is owed
- check A job cannot close without notes on the work done, which is your record if a customer comes back
- check Parts that have not moved in 90 days are listed with the cash they hold
- check Past buyers who never returned for a service are listed with their phone number
Yours
No package to renegotiate when the yard changes
Add people, a second lot or a new kind of vehicle without a new quote for software.
- check MIT licence: keep it, change it, run it wherever you like
- check Your books stay in Xero or MYOB; sales, invoices and parts hand over in one export
- check Any question you can put into words gets answered from your records, not just from the reports provided
- check Stock can still feed your website and listing sites when Enterprise DNA connects them for you

Switching
How to switch from EasyCars
The move involves exporting the records your account allows, mapping EasyCars columns to the new system, then checking the imported data before you switch over.
- 1
Ask for your records
EasyCars does not publish how to export your data. Ask its support team what your account can produce, and export your stock and customer lists in the format available, usually CSV or Excel. Ask about deals, invoices and other history too, if you want to bring them across. The records available to export will shape what you can migrate.
- 2
Map and test the import
EasyCars columns will not match the new system’s import exactly. Map the fields before loading your records, then run the import’s test option first. Start with the stock and customer lists, and check the test results for unexpected matches or missing fields before you load the records for real. If you use Enterprise DNA to run the move, they handle the mapping.
- 3
Review what the import flags
Check the import report for rows it skips and resolve the cause before relying on the new records. Review a sample of customer and vehicle records against EasyCars, including the details your team needs to work. Vehicle paperwork needs particular care: imported units arrive without a CIN or PPSR recorded, so verify those records rather than assuming they carried over.
- 4
Run both systems briefly
Keep EasyCars available while you use the new system for a short period. Compare key stock and customer records between the two, and check that your team can find the information it needs in the new database. Note any differences or missing history, then resolve them before treating the new system as your working record.
- 5
Switch off EasyCars
Once you have checked the imported records and your team is working from the new system, stop using EasyCars for day-to-day dealership records. Keep in mind that Dealership for Claude Code has no web front end: you work with the database through Claude Code, using plain language. Make sure that way of working suits your team before ending your EasyCars use.
Where the real effort goes
The real work is usually mapping your EasyCars fields and deciding which history you want to bring across. Stock and customer records are the starting point, but the EasyCars site does not specify its export options or what history your account can provide, so check with support. If Enterprise DNA runs the move, it handles the field mapping and import work.

Questions
Instead of EasyCars, answered
EasyCars will not give us a price without a quote. How do we compare? expand_more
Bring your current EasyCars invoice to the call. We go through each line, what your team actually uses, and what your own version would take to build and run. If staying put is the better deal, we say so.
Can we get our records out of EasyCars? expand_more
The EasyCars site does not say how. Most dealer systems let you save stock and customer reports as a spreadsheet, so ask EasyCars support what your account can produce. Its columns will not match the free version's import exactly: mapping them is part of what Enterprise DNA does, or you ask Claude Code to map them and do a test run first.
We rely on EasyCars to push stock to the listing sites. What happens to that? expand_more
The free version keeps the stock but does not post to listing sites on its own. When Enterprise DNA builds yours, we connect your stock to your website and the sites you already advertise on, so a unit you add or sell updates everywhere.
The free version's compliance checks were written for New Zealand. We are in Australia. expand_more
That is right, and we will not pretend otherwise. The records are the same on either side of the Tasman; the rules differ. In the free version you ask Claude Code to change a rule. When Enterprise DNA builds yours, we write in the paperwork and checks your state requires of a dealer.
Do my salespeople have to learn Claude Code? expand_more
No. They ask in plain English. In a managed setup we agree who asks what, and add a simple screen for the yard or the workshop if that suits your team better.
Find out what your yard would look like on its own system
30 minutes with Sam. We look at what your EasyCars package covers, what your yard and workshop really use, and what your own version would do. If it fits, we build it and run it. If not, take the free version and try it yourself.
