Enterprise DNA

Instead of Effi

Stop paying Effi by the head. Own your brokerage system.

Enterprise DNA builds your version around how your brokers and support staff actually move a loan, brings your records across, and runs it for you. Retention and reporting come as standard, not as a higher plan.

Effi lists $180 per broker a month on Professional and $220 on Small business, plus $120 a month for each non-broker seat. Small business adds a $1,200 setup cost and a yearly commitment.

Where the money goes

The Effi bill counts people, then charges again to set up

Your loan book and client history belong to the brokerage. Effi prices the software on top of them by headcount and by which plan includes which feature.

paid

Each broker is a monthly line

Professional is $180 per broker a month, which is $2,160 a broker each year. Small business is $220 per broker a month, or $2,640 a year.

support_agent

Support staff are charged too

Every non-broker seat is $120 a month on every plan, which is $1,440 a year for each processor, assistant or admin who logs in.

workspace_premium

Retention and reporting sit one plan up

The client retention tool, advanced reporting, custom tasks and CRM automation, and user and role management are listed under Small business, not Professional.

event_repeat

Ten brokers and a year, minimum

Small business requires at least 10 broker seats and a yearly commitment. Enterprise starts at 30 seats with a yearly commitment.

build

A setup cost before the first deal

Small business and Enterprise carry a $1,200 workflow and automation setup cost. The pricing page also warns that selected features and add-ons may include usage-based charges.

delete_forever

Leaving puts your records at risk

Effi's terms say it may permanently delete broker data on termination, and they set out no export process for you. You need your records out before the 30 days' notice runs.

What you get instead

A brokerage system that does not count heads

Who to ring

The retention list, without a plan upgrade

Fixed terms ending are when a client gets a better offer from someone else. Every expiry shows the balance and how long since anyone at the brokerage spoke to that client.

  • check Every fixed rate ending in the next ninety days, soonest first
  • check Rates that have already rolled off, so the client is paying variable right now
  • check Expiries where nobody has called in over a month
  • check Annual reviews past due, by broker, so the clients who go quiet do not quietly leave

Deals at risk

A morning list of what is about to slip

Each loan carries its own deadlines. The ones closest to falling over come first, with the person who owns them.

  • check Finance due within five days with no approval recorded
  • check Pre-approvals running out on clients who are still looking
  • check Applications at a lender with nothing logged in ten days
  • check A deal cannot move to submitted while the client's identity checks are missing

Commission

Know what you are owed, and what you could lose

Your aggregator and lender terms are stored as records, so each settlement has an expected upfront and each statement is checked against it.

  • check Upfronts still unpaid a month after settlement, named and added up
  • check Payments that came in short, by lender, to the dollar
  • check Every loan still inside a clawback window, with the amount at risk
  • check Trail income by lender and year, worked out from the same records

Yours to change

Reporting you ask for in a sentence

There is no reporting tier. Any question about your own records can be asked in plain English, and any answer can become a standing view.

  • check Questions about referrers, lenders and broker workload, answered from your own data
  • check A compliance check against the NCCP Act and the Best Interests Duty, every rule naming its source
  • check Refix letters, review packs and settlement summaries carrying your brokerage's name
  • check Open source under the MIT licence: nothing to renew, nothing deleted when you stop paying

Switching

How to switch from Effi

A move usually involves securing an extract before notice, mapping its columns into the new database, checking the records and running both systems side by side before closing Effi.

  1. 1

    Get your records out

Ask Effi for a full extract of your Broker Data before you give notice. Effi's terms say it may permanently delete data when the account ends. Export what your account allows, and check the available options with Effi. Include the client, deal and loan records you want to bring. If you also use an aggregator CRM, its client and loan exports may be the easier source.

  2. 2

    Load a test

The import accepts plain CSV, so confirm your extract is in that form. Start with a test run before loading the records into the database. This gives you a chance to see how the data fits before you rely on it. If your extract is in another format, check with Effi about an export the import can use.

  3. 3

    Review what needs attention

Check the import results for records or fields that need follow-up. Imported clients have no CDD date, and imported deals start with an empty advice file, so the system does not assume those records are complete. Run the compliance check to see what needs backfilling, then review the relevant files against your source records.

  4. 4

    Run both side by side

Keep Effi running during a short overlap while you check the new database against your current records and work through the daily process. Compare key client, deal and loan details, including the dates and commission information you rely on. Applications still go through your aggregator and lenders as before. Do not treat the new database as a live replacement until you are satisfied with the records you brought across.

  5. 5

    Switch off Effi

Once you have checked the records and are ready to rely on the new database, give Effi written notice to end the account. Its terms provide for 30 days' written notice. Make sure you have the full extract you need before notice, since Effi says it may permanently delete Broker Data when the account ends.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The main work is usually mapping Effi’s columns to the new database, deciding which history to bring, and checking records that need follow-up. What you can migrate depends on the extract you get from Effi, and imported clients and deals need checks for missing CDD dates and advice files. If you have Enterprise DNA install and run it for you, they handle the Effi column mapping.

Questions

Instead of Effi, answered

Effi collects documents and runs the fact find for us. Does the free version do that? expand_more

No. The free version is the record of the brokerage: clients, deals, dates, commission and the advice file. It has no client portal, no online fact find and no text message agent. If your clients rely on those, Enterprise DNA builds them into your version, in your brand, writing straight into the same database.

How do we get our records out of Effi? expand_more

Effi's terms say it may permanently delete your data when the account ends, so ask for a full extract before you give the 30 days' notice. If you also run an aggregator CRM, your clients and loans may be easier to export from there. The free version reads a CSV after a test run. Mapping Effi's columns is part of what Enterprise DNA does, or you can ask Claude Code to do it.

Do we keep our aggregator and our lodgement process? expand_more

Yes. Applications keep going through your aggregator and the lenders exactly as now. What changes is where your brokerage keeps its own record, and who owns it.

We are a solo broker on Professional at $180 a month. Is switching worth it? expand_more

On your own with no support staff, maybe not yet. It changes as you hire: each new broker is another $180 or $220 a month, each processor another $120, and the retention tool and advanced reporting start at Small business, which needs ten broker seats and a yearly commitment. A system you own has no per-seat fee.

Does it handle our credit licence obligations? expand_more

It checks your files against a written rule book covering the NCCP Act and the Best Interests Duty, and lists every file missing something, with the source of each rule. It is not legal advice: you read the rules and change them to fit your licence or your licensee's requirements.
