Enterprise DNA

Instead of Ideagen Workforce Safety

Stop renting Ideagen Workforce Safety. Own your workforce safety records.

Enterprise DNA builds your version around the way you sign contractors on, induct crews and keep tickets current, brings your Ideagen records across and runs it for you. The people records stay with your business, whoever you work with next.

Ideagen Workforce Safety publishes no prices. Every route to a figure goes through a demo request or the sales team.

What sits behind the quote

Enterprise machinery wrapped around a register of people and their paperwork

Strip away the gates, the scanners and the analytics, and what a workforce platform stores is short: who the worker is, which firm they belong to, what they hold, when it lapses and what happened on site.

request_quote

A figure that starts with a demo

Ideagen lists no plans and no prices for the product. You request a demo or contact sales, .

domain

Built for tier-one construction and mining

The customers Ideagen names include Thiess, Glencore, Holcim, Orica and CPB Contractors. A fifty-person contractor pays for a platform designed around their scale.

fingerprint

Hardware at the gate

Fingerprint and face scanning terminals that tie into gates and turnstiles are part of the pitch. Useful on a major project, but a lot to carry when your sites are a few vans and a yard.

inventory_2

One product among many

Contractor management sits inside Ideagen's wider health and safety platform, alongside incidents, inspections, permit to work and lone worker monitoring.

badge

Tickets and inductions behind a login

The record that matters most, who is cleared to work today, lives on the vendor's platform. Your supervisors look it up there rather than owning it.

file_export

Exports that depend on permissions

Ideagen's help centre describes template and custom exports for users given the export permission. Getting years of history out is something to check before the renewal, not after.

What you get instead

The contractor and crew records, kept in your own hands

Cleared to work

Know who can be on site before they arrive

Every worker, staff or subcontractor, carries their inductions and tickets with expiry dates. The question of who is cleared is answered from your own records, by name.

  • check Anyone with a missing or lapsed site induction is flagged before the next shift
  • check Tickets and first aid due in the next sixty days listed by person and by firm
  • check Contractors covered by the training matrix, because duties overlap on a shared site
  • check An expired ticket shown beside any incident that person was part of

When something happens

An incident record that holds the line

Log what happened in plain words. If the event is notifiable, the duties appear at once and the record will not close until they are met.

  • check A notifiable event stays open until the date the regulator was told is entered
  • check No investigation closes without a corrective action or a written reason for none
  • check The written notification is drafted from the record, for a person to check and send
  • check Overdue actions name their owner and the event or inspection that created them

On the tools

Hazards, substances and toolbox talks in one place

The site risk register, the chemical inventory and the talk log sit beside the workforce records instead of in another product.

  • check High and critical hazards held only by PPE or paperwork stay flagged until controls improve
  • check Hazards that keep causing incidents show their history in one answer
  • check Safety data sheets older than five years, or missing, surface on their own
  • check A site that has gone a fortnight without a toolbox talk shows up on the morning list

Yours to keep

Records that outlast any contract

People, firms, training and events sit in a database your business controls, readable by any tool, with nothing switched off when a subscription ends.

  • check Your Ideagen records brought across with a test run before anything is written
  • check Imported notifiable events with no reported date go straight to the top of the list
  • check Notifiable-event records kept the five years New Zealand law asks for
  • check Board packs rendered from the data in your branding

Switching

How to switch from Ideagen Workforce Safety

The move involves exporting the records your account allows, mapping and testing them, then checking both systems before you stop using Ideagen.

  1. 1

    Export your records

Ask Ideagen which records your account can export and confirm you have export permission. Its help centre describes template and custom CSV exports, but access depends on permissions. Export workers, contractor firms, training and incidents, including inductions and tickets where available, before your term ends. Check with Ideagen about any records you cannot export.

  2. 2

    Map and test the import

The exports will not load as they are. The new system reads its own import layout, while Ideagen files use different columns. Match your exported fields to the new records, using Claude Code or Enterprise DNA to help. Run the test import first. It does not write any data, so review the result before you approve the real import.

  3. 3

    Review what the import flags

Treat the import as a first audit. Check the imported records against your source exports and review anything the import calls out before relying on them. In particular, an imported notifiable incident with no regulator-notified date appears at the top of the attention list. Confirm the incident details and notification status against your records, and address gaps before moving day-to-day work across.

  4. 4

    Run both systems briefly

Keep Ideagen available for a short period while you and your team use the new system through Claude Code. Compare workers, contractor firms, inductions, tickets and incidents in both systems, and check that new records are being captured consistently. Decide who is responsible for recording updates in each system during the overlap so a change is not missed.

  5. 5

    Switch off Ideagen

Once you have checked the imported records and are comfortable using the new system through Claude Code, stop entering new work in Ideagen. Keep any exports your business needs in your own records, then follow your Ideagen agreement and contact to end the service or access. Do not close Ideagen until you have confirmed there is no remaining information you need to export.

Where the real effort goes

The work is usually less about exporting than matching Ideagen's columns to your worker, contractor, training and incident records, deciding which history to bring across, and adapting rules to your business. Some records may not be available under your export permissions. When Enterprise DNA installs and runs the system for you, Enterprise DNA handles the mapping and import setup.

Questions

Instead of Ideagen Workforce Safety, answered

Ideagen checks contractor credentials against national databases. Does this? expand_more

No. The free version keeps each worker's tickets and inductions with their expiry dates and flags anything lapsed or missing, but the checking against outside registers is not part of it. Where a register you rely on can be checked, Enterprise DNA looks at building that into your version during setup.

We use biometric scanners at the gate. What happens to those? expand_more

The free version has no gate hardware. If your sites need a sign-in at the gate, we talk through the options on the call and build what fits into your version.

How do we get our records out of Ideagen? expand_more

Ideagen's help centre describes template and custom exports, available to users who have been given export permission. Ask your Ideagen contact which records your account can export, and pull workers, contractor firms, training and incidents before your term ends.

Will those exports load straight in? expand_more

Not as they are. The free version reads its own import layout, and Ideagen's files have their own columns. Matching them is part of Enterprise DNA's setup, or you can ask Claude Code to map them. A test run always comes first, and nothing is written until the result looks right.

We work on both sides of the Tasman. Whose rules does it check? expand_more

The free version checks records against New Zealand's Health and Safety at Work Act and its regulations, each rule citing its section. For Australian sites, the rule book is a file Enterprise DNA can tune for your version, with the source kept for each rule.

Keep your crew records in your own hands

Thirty minutes with Sam. We look at what your Ideagen quote covers, which parts your supervisors actually open each week, and what your own version would look like across your sites and contractors. If it fits, we build it and run it. If not, the free version is yours to keep.
