Instead of Influitive

Stop renting Influitive. Own your customer advocacy desk.

We build your version around the customers who speak for your business. We bring across your Influitive activity history, map the extra records you need and run the result through Omni by Enterprise DNA.

Influitive quotes Customer Advocacy and Digital Community plans through its sales team. Compare your actual annual renewal with the reference work and community features your business uses.

What your subscription covers

An advocacy platform around relationships you already have

Influitive lists two sales-quoted packages. Its Customer Advocacy plan includes targeting, rewards, campaign templates and reporting; Digital Community adds discussion and knowledge features. Start with your contract and the work your team actually does.

paid

A price agreed with sales

The vendor publishes package features and asks you to speak with sales for pricing. Your own renewal is the right starting point for the comparison.

groups

Selecting the right advocates

Personalisation and targeting sit in the Customer Advocacy package. Your reference desk needs a clear answer about who fits a request and who has agreed to help.

redeem

Loyalty and rewards

Influitive includes loyalty and rewards in its advocacy offering. If these are central to your programme, include their operating rules and fulfilment in the scope of your custom version.

assignment

Templates and campaigns

The listed plan includes pre-built campaign material. Your own version can reflect the reference calls, stories and speaking requests your team handles every week.

analytics

Reporting around participation

Analytics and return-on-investment reporting are listed features. The free desk brings activity history together with permissions, request owners and current workloads.

forum

A broader community package

Digital Community adds discussions, moderation, a knowledge base, ideation and questions. We scope the customer-facing experience separately when your business needs it.

What your own desk does

Give every reference request a fit, an owner and a permission check

Reference requests

Find the right customer without overusing them

Review the customer fit and current commitments before reserving someone for a reference call, story or speaking request.

  • check Match industry, product and the requested region
  • check See the specific reason each candidate is blocked
  • check Reserve capacity for proposed and accepted work
  • check Record actual acceptance and completion with evidence

Permission evidence

Keep approval separate from activity

A past interaction never becomes permission automatically. Keep the purpose, expiry and audience restrictions alongside the person.

  • check Record grants and withdrawals for each purpose
  • check Check permission through the requested date
  • check Flag stale profiles and overdue retention reviews
  • check Read the audience restrictions before any disclosure

Customer stories

Use wording that still has permission behind it

Store exact wording and its approval separately. Current permission and profile checks decide whether it appears in a new draft pack.

  • check Keep the source for every story
  • check Record approval of the exact wording
  • check Withhold stories when permission expires or is withdrawn
  • check Produce branded internal briefs and permission review sheets

Your history

Bring the activity record into your own database

Import the documented activity export, retain the original evidence and review the people it creates before putting them to work.

  • check Preview an import before saving it
  • check Skip repeated events without duplicating history
  • check Stop changed source records for reconciliation
  • check Combine workload, permission and request history in your weekly review

Switching

How to switch from Influitive

A move usually involves exporting the records you need, mapping them into the new desk, reviewing the imported data, and checking both systems before you switch.

  1. 1

    Export the records you need

Start with Influitive’s documented activity-feed CSV, which includes activity dates and types, contact details, company, contact type, Salesforce ID, and points. Export any community content, media, separate approval records, and permission evidence you want to keep as well. Export what your account allows, usually CSV or Excel, and check with Influitive about available exports for anything not covered by the activity feed.

  2. 2

    Preview and load the records

Use the import’s test run to preview the activity-feed export before loading it. Once you are satisfied with the preview, import the records into the new desk. The importer preserves the original rows and source file, validates the batch, and skips repeat imports. Keep the source exports too, so you can refer back to them during review.

  3. 3

    Review the import findings

Check any records or source-history changes the import flags. A changed source history stops for reconciliation, so resolve that before proceeding. Imported profiles start paused, and the import does not assume a customer gave permission. Review historical workload and classify each profile before activating it. Map separate permission evidence and other archive material rather than treating activity records as proof of permission.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep Influitive available for a short period while your team checks the new desk against current work. Compare open requests, advocate profiles, activity history, permissions, and any records you mapped separately. Confirm that the right people can find the information they need and that outstanding work has an owner. Use this check to catch gaps before you stop relying on Influitive.

  5. 5

    Switch off Influitive

When your team is satisfied with the records and workflow in the new desk, move active work there and switch off Influitive. Keep the exports and any archive material your team needs to retain. If you find missing records during the final check, resolve the export or mapping gap before turning off access to the source system.

Where the real effort goes

The main work is usually mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding which history to bring across. The activity-feed import covers documented activity records, but community content, media, separate approval records, and permission evidence need their own archive and mapping. If you have Enterprise DNA install and run your version, Enterprise DNA handles this migration work with you.

Questions

Instead of Influitive, answered

Does this replace the whole Influitive community? expand_more

The free version covers the internal advocacy desk: customer profiles, reference requests, workload, permission evidence and approved story wording. We scope community access, reward fulfilment and business connections around the features you actually need in your custom version.

What does Influitive cost compared with this? expand_more

Influitive gives pricing through its sales team, with Customer Advocacy and Digital Community packages. We do not substitute an estimated price for your contract. The open-source code is free; hosting and coding-assistant costs remain yours. Enterprise DNA charges a setup fee, then a retainer for agreed ongoing work.

Can you bring our history across? expand_more

The free importer accepts the documented Influitive activity export and keeps its original records. It creates paused profiles and activity history, not assumed permission or completed reference work. We map extra exports, archive material and permission evidence as part of an agreed migration.

How do you stop us asking the same customer too often? expand_more

Proposed and accepted work reserves capacity. Recent completions count against the agreed limit, and a cooldown blocks another assignment. Matching also checks current permission and profile review dates. A person still reads the audience restrictions and confirms the customer accepted that specific request.

Can my team use it without managing the technology? expand_more

Yes. We install and run your version with the access controls, backups and connections agreed for your team. Internal briefs and story packs stay drafts until a person reviews their use. We can add the screens your team needs, and you keep ownership of the database.

Bring your Influitive renewal and your next reference request

Spend 30 minutes with Sam. We compare what you pay for with the reference work your team handles, look at your export and agree what your own version needs.
