Instead of Kyriba

Stop renting Kyriba. Own your treasury system.

We build your version around your banks, entities and treasury policy, bring your Kyriba balances, cash flows and FX deals across, and run it for you.

Kyriba does not publish its prices. It quotes each business on its banking footprint and the products it takes, so ask for your renewal figure before you compare.

The recurring software bill

What the Kyriba contract pays for

Underneath, treasury is a short list of records: bank balances, expected cash flows, FX deals, loans and covenants. Much of what the contract covers is the screen and the packaging around them.

account_balance

Priced on your banking footprint

Kyriba sets the price of its mid-market bundle by your banking footprint. Add banks or accounts and the price can move with them.

apps

Products sold separately

Treasury, Risk Management, Payments, Connectivity and Working Capital are separate product lines. FX and debt sit under Risk Management, not the cash bundle.

request_quote

Prices by quote

No price list is published. Your figure comes from a sales conversation and the renewal terms you signed.

Startup services

Getting started is sold as a packaged service with a fixed fee and scope of its own.

dashboard

Dashboards the vendor designed

You see the charts the product ships with. A question it was not built for goes to a consultant, an export or a spreadsheet.

lock

Your history in their system

Years of balances, forecasts and deals sit in the vendor's platform. Leaving means planning an export before the contract ends.

The work in your own database

Currency

FX cover against your policy bands

Each expected receipt or payment in a foreign currency sits beside the forwards that cover it.

  • check Cover for each currency and time band, under or over policy
  • check How much more to hedge to get back inside a band
  • check Forwards settling this week, with the contract rate against today's
  • check Hedges with missing or late documentation flagged for the auditor

Debt

Facilities and covenants you can show the bank

Limits, drawn amounts, maturities and every covenant test in one place.

  • check Undrawn headroom per lender and the next maturity
  • check Covenant headroom on the last test, with a warning level you set
  • check Certificates due and not yet sent
  • check A drafted compliance certificate for every covenant on the facility

Controls

Bank limits and mandates kept current

The checks that slip when the treasury team is busy.

  • check Cash with any one bank against the limit in your policy
  • check Anyone who has left the business still able to sign
  • check The policy's board review date
  • check A monthly treasury report drafted from the records

Ten questions across every entity and bank

The free version answers these today against a fictional exporter's records. They show how cash, currency and debt records fit together in one place, without claiming a configured Kyriba setup can never answer them.

Switching

How to switch from Kyriba

The move involves exporting your treasury records, mapping your columns, checking the imported data, and running both systems side by side before you switch.

  1. 1

    Export your treasury records

Save your bank balance, cash flow, and FX deal reports from Kyriba as spreadsheets. The import is designed for CSV reports. Export what your Kyriba account allows, usually CSV or Excel, and check with Kyriba if you are unsure how to get those reports. Payment history, approval trails, and bank connections stay in Kyriba for your records.

  2. 2

    Load a test run

Set up your entities, accounts, and facilities, then match the report columns to the fields in the new system. Run a test before saving anything. The test shows how many records it would bring across, so you can check the mapping and the counts first. You can bring balances, cash flows, and FX deals across with their original rows kept.

  3. 3

    Review flagged records

Check the import results before you rely on them. Review the counts and any rows that need reconciliation. If you load the same file again, it adds nothing. If a row has changed since the earlier import, the system stops for you to reconcile it rather than silently replacing the record. Resolve those differences before using the imported data for treasury decisions.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep Kyriba running while you use the new system for a short period. Compare balances, cash flows, FX deals, and the reports you use in your treasury routine. Check that the records and results make sense to your team, and correct any mapping or data issues you find. Keep Kyriba available for its payment history, approval trails, and bank connections.

  5. 5

    Switch off Kyriba

Once your team has checked the imported records and is comfortable using the new system for the work it covers, decide when to stop using Kyriba. Keep access to Kyriba for records you still need, including payment history, approval trails, and bank connections. Those do not carry over. The new system does not connect to banks, send payments, or value deals from a market data feed.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The import itself is only part of the work. Most effort usually goes into matching your own column names and deciding which records and how much history to bring across, then checking the results against what your team expects. Payment history, approval trails, and bank connections stay in Kyriba. If Enterprise DNA installs and runs your version, they handle this migration work with you.

Questions

Instead of Kyriba, answered

Does this replace everything Kyriba does? expand_more

No. The free version covers the treasury routine of a mid-sized group: the daily cash position, a 13-week forecast, FX cover against policy, facilities, covenants, bank limits and mandates. It does not connect to banks, send payments or value deals from a market data feed. Enterprise DNA scopes any of those into your version if you need them.

How do our Kyriba records come across? expand_more

Save your bank balance, cash flow and FX deal reports from Kyriba as spreadsheets, match their column names once, and do a test run before anything is saved. Balances, flows and deals come across with the original rows kept. Payment history, approval trails and bank connections stay in Kyriba for your records.

Can we rely on the numbers? expand_more

Every figure is your own record: balances you loaded, deals the bank confirmed, covenant results your finance team calculated. Each change is logged with who made it. Converting to your home currency uses the latest rate you record, and the same file loaded twice adds nothing.

What does it cost to have our version built? expand_more

The code is free to run yourself, with your own hosting costs. Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed work. You keep the database, and the reports, rules and screens are shaped around how your treasury runs.

Is the hedge accounting check an audit sign-off? expand_more

No. It flags designated hedges with no documentation, documentation written after the trade, and hedges larger than the item they cover, citing NZ IFRS 9 and AASB 9. Your auditor has the final word. Enterprise DNA can add your own policy rules and your auditor's checklist to the checks.
