What people compare Persefoni with
Persefoni’s own marketplace listing charges US$55,000 a year for organisations under US$250M revenue, and US$90,000 a year up to a billion dollars of revenue. If a revenue-banded bill or a system that keeps your calculation history no longer suits, you may be looking for another way to manage emissions.

How to choose a Persefoni alternative
- 1
What sets the bill
Persefoni's public marketplace price is tied to revenue bands, while IBM Envizi counts tracked meters, suppliers and measures. Check whether your bill rises with revenue, data volume, added scopes or extra users. Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, then a monthly retainer, rather than a revenue band or per-seat plan.
- 2
Who owns your records
Ask whether you can keep your records if you leave. Persefoni's export data dictionary is behind its customer login, and its calculations live in its system. With the owned option, your records sit in a database you own, rather than only in a supplier's system.
- 3
Fit with your business and rules
Your footprint depends on sites, meters, fuel and power use, emission factors, suppliers, inventories and targets. Check that a replacement can reflect your operations and the requirements you face, including AASB S2, NGER, New Zealand climate standards and local factor editions.

What switching involves
A move is more than entering totals. You can export your Persefoni history as a spreadsheet, then use a test run to see what would come across, what would be skipped and why. It also compares the tonnes row by row, so you can review differences before moving the records.

Questions
Persefoni alternatives, answered
Can my Persefoni records move to an owned system? expand_more
Yes. You can export your Persefoni Footprint Ledger as a spreadsheet. A test run shows what would transfer, what would be skipped and why, and compares Persefoni's tonnes with the new system for each row. Categories the free version does not yet hold, such as refrigerants, are listed so they are not missed.
Will a replacement give me the same emissions total? expand_more
The totals should be close, and the test run shows each difference. Differences can come from a different factor edition, flights with or without the radiative forcing uplift, or electricity reported on a market basis. Your last closed year can be run in both systems until the totals match or each gap is explained.
Can an owned system support climate reporting? expand_more
It measures to the GHG Protocol, keeps each factor with its source page, marks estimates and locks finished years. Your auditor still provides the assurance. If you report under AASB S2 or the New Zealand climate standards, Enterprise DNA can build scenario analysis and the written climate statement into your version.
What should I budget, and who keeps it up to date? expand_more
Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, then a monthly retainer, with no revenue band. When Enterprise DNA runs the system, it chases bills, adds each year's new factors, answers customer requests by their deadlines and works with your finance team on the year-end close. You can also run the free version yourself.
