Instead of Pricefx
Stop renting Pricefx. Own your price management system.
We build your version around your price lists, margin rules and terms of trade, bring your Pricefx price lists across and run it with your pricing and sales team.
Pricefx publishes no price list. It sells its pricing modules by quote, with an implementation project before the first price goes live.

What sits inside a Pricefx bill?
Pricefx quotes privately and sells its platform in modules. Separate the analysis you would really use from the price book work your team does every week.
A quote, not a price list
Pricefx publishes no prices. You book a demo and receive a quote for the modules you choose, so the bill is set in a sales conversation.
An implementation project
Pricing logic, data feeds and approval steps are configured before go-live. That work is your own rules written down, and you pay for it again when the rules change.
Price management
Plan, set and adjust list prices. Underneath, that is a product, a cost, a price list, a quantity break and a date.
Quoting and agreements
Separate modules for quotes, customer agreements, promotions and rebates. Buy only what your team will open every week.
Optimisation and agents
Pricefx sells price recommendations and agents that look for margin risk. Most distributors price from cost, target margin and judgement, and need the risk list more than the model.
Connections to your systems
Integrations with your ERP, CRM and quoting tools. Your own version reads the reports your ERP already produces, and Enterprise DNA scopes a live connection if you want one.

Switching
How to switch from Pricefx
A move usually involves exporting each price list, mapping your fields, testing the import and checking the new records before you run both systems side by side.
- 1
Export each price list
Pricefx documents a CSV export for price lists. Export the product code and price for each list. For matrix lists, include the second key as well, such as the customer or region key your matrix uses. Pricefx may offer other export options for your account, so check with Pricefx about any additional records you need to bring across.
- 2
Test and load the lists
Map each Pricefx list to the matching list in the new system, including any matrix keys that need mapping. Run a test import first to see what it would bring across. Then load each list for its intended effective date. Imported prices arrive as drafts, not approved prices, so plan to review them before your team uses them.
- 3
Review the import results
Check the test results and the imported drafts for missing or incorrectly mapped records. Review the margin-floor checks on the new prices, and resolve anything that needs attention before approval. Confirm that matrix prices are associated with the right customer or region. The new system does not write approved prices back to your ERP, so your team loads the approved lists there.
- 4
Run both systems together
Keep Pricefx in use while your team checks the new price book against it for a short period. Compare the records your team relies on, including prices and quantity breaks, and check that customer and region mappings are right. Use the parallel period to find gaps in the data or rules before you stop relying on Pricefx.
- 5
Switch off Pricefx
Once your team has checked the imported records, approved the prices it needs and confirmed its working process, stop using Pricefx for the price book. Keep using your ERP for sales and cost reports, which the new system can import, and have your team load approved price lists into the ERP. The free version does not write prices back to the ERP.
Where the real effort goes
The main work is usually mapping your own fields and rules, especially customer or region keys on matrix lists, and deciding how much history to bring across. Pricefx documents a price-list export, but other records may need separate export options, so check what your account allows. Enterprise DNA handles the data migration and mapping when you have them install and run it.

Questions
Instead of Pricefx, answered
Does this optimise our prices the way Pricefx does? expand_more
No. The free version does not model price elasticity or recommend prices. It holds your costs, lists, specials and floors, and shows where margin is leaking. Most distributors set prices from cost, target margin and judgement. If you want recommendations on top, we scope them into your version.
Can we bring our Pricefx price lists across? expand_more
Yes. Pricefx documents a price list export with the product code and price, plus a second key on matrix lists. Each list comes across as drafts for a date, is checked against your margin floors and then approved. Matrices keyed by customer or region need mapping first, which is part of what we do.
Does it change prices in our ERP? expand_more
Not in the free version. It reads the sales and cost reports your ERP already produces and writes price lists your team loads. A live connection that writes approved prices back is something we build into your version once the rules are agreed.
How does it handle notice of a price rise? expand_more
You record the notice period from each customer's terms of trade. A rise shows who must be told and by when, drafts each customer's letter for a person to send, and stays blocked until every affected customer has been notified in time.
What will Enterprise DNA charge? expand_more
