What people compare QBench with
QBench starts at US$16,500 a year for Foundation, US$19,500 for Growth and US$25,500 for Advanced, with five users in each starting plan. Owners look for alternatives when they want to compare those tiers, added connections and the lab work they actually need.

How to choose a QBench alternative
- 1
What drives the bill
QBench’s starting plans include five users, with volume discounts listed from ten users. Managed third-party and instrument connections start at US$1,500 a year. Compare the plan tier, your team size and any connections you need against the work your lab actually does.

Who owns your records
Check where your records live and whether you can keep them in a database your business owns. Before switching, find out which records can move, what needs separate mapping and how you can check the records have carried across correctly.
- 3
Fit with your lab’s rules
List the fields, checks and steps your lab relies on, then see whether the system can fit them. Enterprise DNA builds each business its own version around how it runs, with customisation and operation agreed as part of the scope.

What switching involves
QBench documents sample spreadsheet exports. The free version imports samples from a spreadsheet or CSV after customer and field mapping. Test worksheets, attachments, custody and review history need separate mapping, so agree the scope, test the import and reconcile records before switching.
The option that fits
A system built around your lab
If standard tiers do not fit how your lab works, Enterprise DNA builds your own version around your fields, rules and workflow, and brings your QBench data across. Your records sit in a database your business owns. Enterprise DNA runs the system for you for one setup fee, then a monthly retainer. If you prefer to run it yourself, there is also a free version.

Questions
QBench alternatives, answered
Can we move our QBench records into the new system? expand_more
QBench documents sample spreadsheet exports. The free version imports samples from a spreadsheet or CSV after customer and field mapping. Test worksheets, attachments, custody and review history need separate mapping. Enterprise DNA agrees the scope with you, runs a test and reconciles the records before switching.
How does the cost compare with QBench? expand_more
QBench’s published starting prices are US$16,500 a year for Foundation, US$19,500 for Growth and US$25,500 for Advanced, each including five users. Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, then a monthly retainer for the agreed customisation and operation. Hosting and your chosen assistant have their own costs.
What does the free version cover? expand_more
It covers sample records, assigned tests, result revisions, review checks and draft paperwork. Instrument connections, customer access, billing and other parts of your workflow need to be scoped around what your lab uses. The free code has no licence fee, though hosting and your chosen assistant have their own costs.
Will switching make our lab accredited? expand_more
No. Checks can flag missing records and evidence, but your laboratory remains responsible for method validation, competence and accreditation scope. Certificates stay marked as drafts, even when a result has a recorded review. Switching systems does not approve reports or make your lab accredited.
