Switching

How to switch from Salesforce Revenue Cloud

A move involves exporting and checking your records, mapping Revenue Cloud-specific rules, and running both systems side by side before you stop using Salesforce.

  1. 1

    Export your quoting records

Ask your Salesforce admin to export the records you need. The importer accepts standard product, pricebook and pricebook entry exports, with optional account, quote and quote line item exports. Export what your account allows, usually as CSV or Excel, and check with Salesforce Revenue Cloud about the available export options. Native Revenue Cloud settings and managed quoting formats need mapping.

  2. 2

    Test and load the records

Start with the import preview, which checks the export without loading it. Review the preview before running the import for real. The importer preserves source fields and rolls back invalid batches. Keep the original exports available so you can check the imported records. Imported quotes stay in draft for review, rather than becoming issued quotes automatically.

  3. 3

    Review the import results

Check anything the preview or import flags, and resolve errors before relying on the records. Reconcile the results against your Salesforce data, especially where source IDs have changed. Native Revenue Cloud configurations, product options, pricing procedures and subscription history need mapping. Confirm that the products, prices and quote details you need are present, and review imported quotes while they are still drafts.

  4. 4

Run both systems side by side

Keep Salesforce Revenue Cloud available while you use Product Quotes for the quoting work you are moving. Compare the records and quote drafts with your existing process, and have the people who prepare and review quotes check the results. Keep issuing quotes through your current process until the new records and rules have been reviewed and you are ready to change over.

  5. 5

    Switch off Revenue Cloud

When your team is ready to use the new process, stop using Salesforce Revenue Cloud for the quoting work you moved. Confirm who owns quote preparation and review in the new setup. Product Quotes does not cover subscriptions, usage rating, invoices, payments or signatures, so leave those jobs with the systems responsible for them and agree any required connections separately.

construction

Where the real effort goes

Most of the work is mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding which quote and subscription history to bring across. Standard product, pricebook and quote exports have an import path, but native configurations and managed quoting formats need mapping. Enterprise DNA checks the export, maps the migration and reconciles the results when you have them run it.

Questions

Instead of Salesforce Revenue Cloud, answered

Does this replace every part of Revenue Cloud? expand_more

The free version covers catalogue quotes, required components, discount review and quote revisions. We agree the scope of your version around the work you need, including connections to the systems that handle subscriptions, invoices and payments.

What happens to our Salesforce history? expand_more

The free importer accepts standard Salesforce product, pricebook and quote exports. Native Revenue Cloud configurations and older managed quoting formats need mapping. Enterprise DNA checks your export first, preserves the original source fields that are imported and reconciles the results. Imported quotes stay in draft for review.

Can it handle our approval rules and quoting screen? expand_more

Yes. We build your authority limits, product conditions, quote layout and screen around your sales process. The free base records reviewer names and reasons; authenticated approval roles are part of the managed setup.

What stops a changed price going out under an old approval? expand_more

Changing a quote saves the previous version and returns it to draft. A fresh approval is required before recording it as issued. Product catalogue changes leave existing quoted prices alone, and the review shows where they differ.

What will Enterprise DNA charge us? expand_more

One setup fee, then a retainer. Sam scopes the migration, product rules, connections and ongoing work with you. The free version has no licence charge; hosting and the tools used to operate it have separate costs.

Bring Sam the quoting process you pay for

In a 30-minute call, show Sam your Revenue Cloud bill, a product bundle and a quote that took too much work. Agree which quoting jobs your own version should handle.
