How the bill is built
Plan sized by quote
Vanta quotes each of its four plans privately. Essentials includes one framework. More frameworks, questionnaires and reporting mean a bigger plan, but Vanta does not publish prices for the plans.

Questionnaire automation, security reviews, access management and several risk and vendor risk features are listed as add-ons. Whether you use these affects what is included in your Vanta bill.
Controls and evidence
The bill covers a control register with owners, status and framework requirements, plus evidence stored against controls. Your team still keeps these records up to date, and much of the evidence already lives in your own drive and systems.
Auditor billed separately
The auditor is a separate bill from Vanta. Include that cost when you look at the full cost of security compliance, rather than comparing the Vanta plan quote alone.
