Oracle expanded its Google Cloud partnership to embed Gemini models inside Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications

The play

Oracle customers can now use Google models without leaving Oracle, removes a migration excuse.

Oracle just opened a side door for Google’s AI into thousands of companies that would never have switched cloud platforms. The deal puts Gemini models directly inside Oracle’s AI Agent Studio, which means Oracle Fusion customers can now build AI agents using Google’s language models without leaving their existing Oracle environment.

This matters because enterprise software decisions move slowly. A company running Oracle Fusion for HR, finance, or supply chain isn’t going to rip that out and migrate to Google Cloud just to try better AI models. Oracle knows this. Google knows this. So instead of fighting over infrastructure, they’re splitting the value. Oracle keeps the customer relationship and the application layer. Google gets its models running inside enterprises that were otherwise unreachable.

For business owners, this is a preview of how AI tooling will actually spread in the next two years. You won’t choose one vendor’s AI and rebuild everything around it. You’ll get access to multiple models through whatever system you already use. The challenge shifts from “which platform do we pick” to “how do we actually govern and coordinate AI agents across our operations when they’re coming from three different model providers embedded in five different tools.”

That coordination problem is exactly what systems like our Omni Command Centre are built to solve. When your HR system runs one set of agents, your CRM runs another, and your finance team spins up a third, you need a layer that tracks what’s running, what it costs, and whether it’s actually working.

Oracle announced the partnership in a release on their site, with availability expected later this year. Watch for similar deals from Workday, SAP, and Salesforce. The AI model layer is becoming infrastructure, and the application vendors are all making sure they’re not locked into one supplier.
