The play
Audit agent workflows for excessive tool calls, and test compact visual outputs where long explanations slow review or confuse operators.
A small tool called Tura showed up on Hacker News this week claiming it cuts the number of LLM turns needed for MCP tool interactions by more than 75%. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the connective layer a lot of AI agents use to call tools and get work done. The problem people keep running into is that these agent to tool conversations can get chatty, with the model going back and forth many times just to complete a simple task. That burns time and money.
Tura’s traction so far is thin, just 11 points and no comments, so treat the claim as unverified. What’s more interesting is that the complaint behind it isn’t isolated. We’re seeing the same “MCP is too chatty” gripe pop up independently in other corners this week, which suggests it’s a real pain point people are hitting on their own, not a manufactured problem looking for a solution.
In a similar vein, HumanLayer put out a small Claude Code skill called “/show-me” that swaps out wordy prose explanations for compact diagrams instead. It’s part of a growing pattern of small fixes for a specific annoyance: agent output that’s technically correct but a slog to actually read and act on. None of these tools are big launches. They’re the kind of quiet, practical patches that tell you where the real friction is in day to day agent use.
If you’re running agents or tool-calling workflows in your business, this is worth a bookmark rather than an action item. Efficiency gains like fewer LLM turns per task translate directly into lower cost and faster responses, which is exactly the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre so it’s tracked and tuned automatically rather than left to guesswork.
