The play

Inventory employee AI usage and establish approval, access, and audit policies before shadow tools create compliance surprises.

Jamf just went live across Australia and New Zealand with a product that does something most business owners have been guessing at for the last two years. It shows you, at the operating system level on every Mac in your business, which AI tools your staff are actually using. Not what your policy document says they should be using. What they’re actually opening and typing into.

That gap matters more than most owners realise. People have been pasting client data into ChatGPT, Claude, and a dozen other tools since 2023, often with good intentions and zero visibility for the business. Jamf’s release lets IT and security teams see this activity, enforce policy on it, and pull audit ready reports when a client, insurer, or regulator asks what’s actually happening with company data. The original report is calling it a first of its kind native AI control plane for Mac in this market, and whether or not that claim holds up against every competitor, the bigger signal is simple. Shadow AI governance is now something you can buy off the shelf in ANZ, not a problem you have to solve with a spreadsheet and a stern email.

If your business runs on Macs and you’ve got no real answer to “what AI tools are our people using and what are they putting into them,” this is worth a look regardless of vendor. The risk isn’t hypothetical anymore, and neither is the fix.

This kind of visibility, policy enforcement, and reporting is exactly the sort of thing we build into an AI command centre, so owners get one place to see what’s actually happening with AI across their business instead of relying on guesswork.
