The play
Embed AI task automation inside existing systems and workflows, where government or regulated buyers can adopt it without another standalone tool.
cBrain’s result is a useful signal for any company wondering where AI revenue will actually come from. The Danish government software vendor reported 6% revenue growth in the first half of 2026 and expects growth of more than 15% in the second half. It says its new F2 AI Task Specialist, launched in March, is behind that rebound.
The important detail is how the product is sold. Customers are not buying a separate AI tool and then trying to connect it to their work. They configure AI-driven processes inside cBrain’s existing platform. For government buyers, that matters. Their processes are often structured, regulated, and tied to established systems. An AI product that fits into the platform they already use has a clearer route to purchase than a standalone chatbot or assistant.
This was cBrain’s first confirmed sale of an AI product, so it is early evidence, not proof of a long-term trend. Still, it points to a practical business model: AI earns revenue when it is attached to a workflow customers already pay to run. The value is not “having AI”. It is completing a defined task within a system people trust.
For operators, the question is whether your AI plans sit beside the business or inside it. The stronger opportunities usually involve a repeatable process, clear ownership, and data already flowing through your core systems. This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, connecting AI work to the operational decisions and processes that matter.
