A skill ships to stop agents over-verifying, not under-verifying.

`forward-implementation-first` (161 stars, 5 days old, 33 stars/day) is built to stop coding agents inventing their own bureaucracy: receipts, hashes.

The play

Audit agent workflows for unnecessary evidence rituals, setting implementation-first checkpoints so verification supports shipping.

A new skill called forward-implementation-first is aimed at a problem many teams will recognise once they start using coding agents. The agent spends time creating its own process paperwork instead of moving the work forward. It produces receipts, hashes, locks, and certification-style checks, even when the practical need is to implement the change.

The project is only five days old, but it has picked up 161 GitHub stars, around 33 per day. That does not prove it will become standard practice, but it does suggest the frustration is real. This sits in the same problem space as the earlier concern about agents claiming work was verified when it was not. The difference is important. One failure mode is false confidence. The other is excessive caution that turns simple work into a slow ritual.

For an owner or operator, the question is not whether your AI has more checks. It is whether it knows when checks are required and when they are just delaying delivery. A coding agent that invents bureaucracy can quietly add cost, slow releases, and make a team less willing to use it. This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, setting practical operating rules so agents can move work forward without pretending certainty or creating unnecessary process.
