The play
Use the short Jev implementation to train your team, then assess whether the pattern fits repeatable workflow automation.
A short blog post has turned the “Jev” pattern into just 25 lines of Python. It drew 546 points and 167 comments on Hacker News, which tells you it landed with a technical audience that is usually quick to dismiss shallow AI demos. You can read the original post here.
The useful part is not that every business owner needs to understand the code. It is that a concept which may feel buried under new model releases, agent frameworks, and product announcements can be reduced to a small, inspectable example. That makes it easier to ask better questions: what does this pattern actually do, where would it fit in a workflow, and what controls would we need before relying on it?
For operators, this is a reminder not to judge AI ideas by how much noise surrounds them. Ask for the smallest working version. If a team or vendor can explain the logic clearly, show the inputs and outputs, and identify where human review sits, you have something you can assess. If they cannot, it may still be more promise than process. This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, turning fast-moving AI concepts into visible workflows your team can monitor and improve.
