The play
Map your internal knowledge before adding agents, then evaluate whether a centralized, searchable source can improve support and operations.
Stripe has detailed an internal Knowledge AI Platform designed to surface company knowledge to agents and support flows. The announcement drew 135 points and 89 comments on Hacker News, which is a useful signal that people are paying attention to a practical use of AI inside a large software business. You can read Stripe’s own overview.
The important point is not that every company now needs to build its own platform. It’s that a major SaaS vendor sees enough value in reliable access to internal knowledge that it is building this capability in-house. For a business owner, this puts the focus on a familiar problem: your team already has answers spread across documents, support tickets, product notes, policies, and people’s heads. AI is only useful when it can find the right information and put it in front of the right person at the right time.
That creates a practical question for your business. Where do staff or customers repeatedly ask the same questions, wait for answers, or search through disconnected systems? Start there. A knowledge layer can support internal teams, improve customer support, and reduce the time spent hunting for basic information, but only if the underlying content is current and owned by someone.
This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, bringing the knowledge your team already has into workflows where people can actually use it.
