The play
Pilot self-hosted deployment workflows to reduce vendor lock-in, while confirming your team can manage domains, payments, databases, and support.
A new open-source Agent Skill and Node command-line tool is trying to solve a very practical problem. An agent can help build a product, but getting that product live still means wiring up hosting, a database, a domain, email and payments. This tool, called GoLive, aims to handle that deployment using the user’s own accounts rather than routing everything through a vendor-managed backend. It also says it has no telemetry.
The project is only one day old, yet it has reached 833 GitHub stars, at roughly 670 stars per day. That is an early attention signal, not proof that the tool works reliably for every business. Still, it points to a real frustration: teams want AI to do more than produce a prototype. They want it to help move a working product into production without creating another platform dependency. You can see the project details in the original report.
For an owner, the key question is control. If an AI-assisted deployment tool uses your hosting, database, domain and payment accounts, you retain the assets and can change tools later. That matters more than a clever demo. It reduces the risk of finding out that a product is tied to a startup’s proprietary infrastructure after customers are already using it.
This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre: useful automation that fits around your existing systems, rather than forcing your business into someone else’s stack.
