The play
If you explain complex services to customers, test JSON-driven animated diagrams for onboarding videos before paying for custom motion design.
A GitHub project called live-panel-skill turns a JSON configuration into an animated architecture diagram. You can choose a dark, terminal-style look or a light infographic, then export an H.264 video or keep it as a live web page. It’s also packaged as a Claude Code skill, so a coding assistant that loads the skill can work with the project’s format.
For a business, the practical use is making a system easier to explain. A team could show how components connect, with moving packets, changing counters and a scrolling log, rather than asking someone to interpret a static diagram. The setup does require Python, Chrome or Chromium, and ffmpeg, and layouts need to be configured for the chosen canvas size. This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, where useful tools can sit alongside the work they support. The project and its examples are available in the GitHub repository.
