The play

Before adding more agents, map shared data, permissions, monitoring, and fallback processes so each pilot can run safely without creating operational gaps.

A recent LinkedIn post about QuantumBlack’s proposed enterprise agent platform architecture makes a useful distinction: getting one agent to work is not the same as building a system that can support many agents in production. The post describes a layered blueprint, but doesn’t spell out the layers in the material here. It argues that teams can hit a wall when they try to add a second or third agent if the first was built only as a proof of concept, rather than as part of a platform. Read the LinkedIn post, which showed 16 likes and 4 comments.

For an owner or operator, the practical question is not just, “Can we build an agent for this task?” It’s also, “What will need to be in place if we want to build another one?” The post suggests architecture is a decision to make early, not a cleanup task after a flashy first launch. That doesn’t prove every business needs a large platform before trying an agent. It does make a case for thinking about how the first agent fits into a system, especially if more are planned. We think this kind of planning should consider the tools and work around AI together.
