Self-hosted agent targets free tier

Talorys is a personal AI assistant that runs in your own Cloudflare account. It can chat, keep editable memories, manage tasks and notes, and send scheduled reminders. Setup is through one command, and it’s designed for one user rather than a team. Its Hacker News listing has 189 points and 99 comments, a sign that the approach has drawn attention, though those numbers don’t tell you whether it’s right for your business.

The practical appeal is keeping the assistant and its data in infrastructure you control, rather than using a service operated by Talorys’ developers. The project says it has no telemetry, and its data is stored in a Cloudflare Durable Object. There’s an important limit: “free-tier friendly” doesn’t mean unlimited or guaranteed to stay free. Cloudflare sets usage quotas, and if the Workers AI daily allocation runs out, chat pauses until the reset. Tasks, notes, memories and reminders can still work without AI.
