The play

Add evidence-traced threat modeling to AI code reviews, especially for systems handling customer data or payments.

Grim Prompter is a set of prompts and workflows that asks an AI coding agent to inspect a codebase and produce a threat model tied to evidence in the code. It covers 36 architecture workflows and 29 methods, from STRIDE to privacy and AI-system analysis. The project says reports can include findings, proposed mitigations, verification plans, and file-and-line citations. Here’s the project on GitHub.

For an operator, the practical use is a more structured security review alongside coding-agent work. A team could ask for a quick model of an API, a deeper six-stage analysis, or a review of how a code change affects an existing model. But the tool’s own guidance is clear: check the scope and evidence, challenge the threats, and don’t treat the output as proof that a system is secure. It also says builds, tests, scripts, installs, and network access need explicit authorization, and that proposed tests require separate authorization before execution, with actual results recorded.

That makes this most useful as a review aid, not a substitute for security judgment. Teams using agents to change software can decide what the agent may inspect, what evidence it must show, and who approves mitigations. Teams can use it to keep oversight around AI-assisted work.
