Asana announced yesterday it has acquired StackAI, a no-code AI agent builder that lets businesses connect AI workflows across enterprise systems like Salesforce, Slack, ERP, CRM, and ITSM platforms. The founders of StackAI, Tony Rosinol and Bernard Aceituno, will join Asana as part of the deal.

The acquisition fills a gap Asana had been quietly trying to close for months. The company has been pitching itself as the “operating system for human-agent teams,” but there was a real problem with that story: Asana agents could plan and track work, but they couldn’t execute tasks end-to-end inside the actual systems where business gets done. StackAI solves that.

What StackAI Actually Does

StackAI was built to do one thing well: connect AI agents to enterprise systems without requiring engineering resources. A compliance team could build an agent that pulls contracts from a document store, checks them against policy rules in a CRM, and routes flagged items to a Slack channel for review.
